* What prevents "Pigeon Man" from being a complete DownerEnding is that Pigeon Man now knows that there are good people like Arnold in the world and hopes to find someone like him.

* The ending to "Helga's Masquerade", when Helga overhears Arnold admitting that he actually kind of likes her when she's being nice.

** Arnold taking up the challenge of finding a person who's whereabouts have been unknown for over 20 years just to give Mr. Hyunh a happy Christmas. Keep in mind, Mr. Hyunh is not related to Arnold in any way, they just live in the same building.

* In "The Pig War", Rex is determined to cook Abner, Arnold's pig, since Abner's the spoils of the 'war'...until Arnold tells him that Abner is his ''pet'' pig. Rex is instantly revolted at the idea of eating someone's pet, especially since he has a pet dog that he loves very much (just like Arnold loves Abner) and, as Rex later explains to his grandfather, [[EvenEvilHasStandards he could never imagine himself actually eating someone/something he knows personally]]. Together, Rex and Arnold work together to save Abner before Rex's grandfather drops Abner into the boiling pot.

** Grandpa driving Arnold to the stadium to give the baseball back to Micky Kaline was heartwarming on its own. To make it even more heartwarming, Micky Kaline decides to play catch with Arnold for a while.

** At the end of the episode, [[ShipperOnDeck Phoebe]] has a much more realistic and understated ImagineSpot with Arnold and Helga on a lighthouse, watching the sunset before holding each other's hands. Awwww.

* Mr. Hyunh's hit song "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTGi1QtkE9s&list=FLxe61f5GeKWRoTC9YtTt11w&index=1 The Simple Things]]" from his brief stint as a country singer. And true to the song, the episode has a nice moral about how just because someone is talented doesn't mean they want to be rich and famous.

** It's especially sweet that Rhonda decides to approach him later to thank him for "dumping" her. Of course the moment is ruined when Curly asks Rhonda for a lock of her hair, but still...

** When Mr. Hyunh finally reunites with his long-lost daughter.

* In the ThanksgivingEpisode, Helga returns home after leaving with Arnold to go find a more normal/traditional Thanksgiving dinner, and expecting to probably not have
-- expecting her family not to have missed her. Instead, she sees Miriam demanding the police find her missing daughter, Big Bob about to get in his Hummer to patrol the city and Olga having just finished dozens of fliers she intends to hang up. Naturally, they're overjoyed to see her safe and sound, and all admit out loud that they love her.

* In "Olga Comes Home", at the end of the episode, Olga tells Helga that she's lucky that their parents don't notice her, because she's sick of "performing for them like a little wind-up doll" (as Olga describes it). Since Olga revealed that she's well-aware of Bob and Miriam's neglect of Helga, Olga's somewhat overwhelming affection and doting over her "dear baby sister" could be her reaching out to Helga and giving her the love and attention that she doesn't get from either her mom or dad. Which makes Helga's insistence that she "can't stand" Olga in a later episode really sad.

*** For the short version, Helga essentially performed an ActOfTrueLove; if there were any doubts that she really does love him, this episode will clear them all away.

** Also, any time Big Bob shows some HiddenDepths and love toward Helga.

** A bit before that, when Phoebe is crying, saying that skipping grades was a stupid idea, Helga says this: [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre "Just because it didn't work out doesn't mean it was stupid. It was smart. You're smart."]] It's brief, but it shows despite being... [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold harsh at times, Helga can still be a good friend]].

*** It's a small moment, but the first time we see Helga start to bond with Dr. Bliss is when Helga discovers they both know the same jump rope rhymes. Cut to the two of them jumping rope side by side while saying the same rhyme.

** And it sticks, too, flying right in the face of StatusQuoIsGod. He's now addicted to radishes. ...Well, at least they're healthy.

* Helga's father gets tickets for a function she wanted to go to, thinking it was a musical. In reality, it was a wrestling match. Despite the mixup Helga and her dad enjoy the show together.

* In the ThanksgivingEpisode, Helga returns home - expecting her family not to have missed her. * In a weird way, the ending of "New Bully on the Block". Due to Wolfgang being voiced by Toran Caudell (Arnold's Season 1 voice actor) and Ludwig being voiced by Phillip Van Dyke (Arnold's Season 2 and 3 voice actor), it seems oddly touching that the episode ends with the two of them becoming friends.[[spoiler:.. [[TheBadGuyWins at the expense]] [[NiceJobBreakingItHero of screwing over Arnold himself]] (and the other fourth graders).]] In fact the whole reason the episode was made was so they could have all three of Arnold's voice actors in the same episode and a special thanks for them is listed in the credits.

* Four words: "You keep the money."

* This troper hasn't seen the episode in years, but one moment rings in memory: Helga's father gets tickets for a function she wanted to go to, thinking it was a musical. In reality, it was a wrestling match. Despite the mixup Helga and her dad enjoy the show together.

* Arnold's friends put together a video showcasing why Arnold deserves to go to San Lorenzo (it's for a contest sponsored by a humanitarian organization). Framed as one of Gerald's urban legend tellings, the video showcases everyone he's ever helped over the show from Stoop Kid, Dino Spumoni, and even Pigeon Man (yes Arnold's classmates even tracked him down) to explain how Arnold helped them and how much they appreciate him for it. And of course, the class wins the trip.

** The sheer amount of TheBusCameBack. Apart from Pigeon Man, we also see Curly (who evidently wasn't hacked to pieces by the Ghost Bride), Monkey Man, Lockjaw the turtle, Tucker Wittenburg, Mai Hyuhn and even ''[[TheScrappy Iggy]]''.
*** Iggy's inclusion is more HeartwarmingInHindsight when you recall that he and Arnold ended Iggy's notorious episode not on good terms, with Arnold refusing to forgive Iggy for what he did. Iggy having any part in helping Arnold go to San Lorenzo shows that [[TheAtoner he's willing to help Arnold find happiness in his life even if he's never acknowledged or forgiven by Arnold himself.]] He even had an earlier moment in "Gerald's Game" when he warns Arnold not to make a certain move in his card game against Gerald, worried that he'll lose and become a dungeon pawn.
** ''[[TheBully Wolfgang]]'' is among the crowd giving Arnold their support. Evidently, he does care for our beloved football-head. That, or he possibly made-up with Arnold and friends sometime before this. Either way, it's nice to see him supporting Arnold.
** You can see Harold talking to the lady who owned the kitten from "Harold's Kitty" at the party, showing that they are still good friends after all this time.
** A small one, but the fact that Sid doesn't take part in Harold and Stinky's mischief in the final shot and actually tries to salvage it.
* Once the video ends, Mr. Simmons reveals that once the Helpers for Humanity saw the video, they immediately named Arnold the contest winner. [[spoiler: Subverted when it's later revealed the whole contest was a scam.]]
* The fact that it was Helga who made the video, and she is completely civil and nice in her conversation with Arnold. She may not admit her crush, but she has no issue showing how much she appreciates him and doesn't berate him with her usual insults. So far a great display of CharacterDevelopment for her!
* In another trailer, Gerald insists on helping Arnold look for his parents and in a scene that may or may not come after their PlotMandatedFriendshipFailure, Arnold performs a DivingSave to knock Helga out of the way of an arrow.
* Brainy rescuing Helga's Arnold locket. It's clear that, though he loves Helga himself, [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy he knows how much Arnold means to her.]]
* A very brief moment that doubles as a meta example, but just before everyone departs for San Lorenzo, Mr. Simmons can be seen with [[TheBusCameBack Peter (his not-so-implied boyfriend) from "Arnold's Thanksgiving"]]. They smile fondly at each other and then hug. [[RelationshipReveal It's finally confirmed ladies and gents]], LGBT community rejoice.
* As the group orchestrates an escape from [[spoiler:La Sombra's forces]], Phoebe tells Gerald "See you on the other side..." before kissing him on the cheek and calling him "handsome".
* The ''ending''. [[spoiler:We get a BaitAndSwitch that at first seems to be implying that the whole movie was just a dream...but then Arnold's parents arrive through the kitchen door with breakfast and after some heartfelt family bonding, Arnold heads to school. He and Gerald bump into Phoebe and Helga, prompting [[BetaCouple Gerald and Phoebe]] to immediately walk to school together while holding hands and Arnold [[RelationshipUpgrade offering to do the same with Helga]] (which she swoons over and then refuses, [[{{Tsundere}} in true Helga fashion]]). ''Then'' Arnold's parents show up telling him that they want to walk him to school--as he heads in, they assure him that they'll be right outside waiting for him, to which he smiles]].

** Even though Doug is indeed shown to nothing but an unfaithful gold-digger, he does admit that while he may not have loved Olga, he did at least like her, which can be seem as rather uncharacteristically sincere for someone like him.

* Once the video ends, Mr. Simmons reveals that once the Helpers for Humanity saw the video, they immediately named Arnold the contest winner.

** There's also a very brief but very adorable shot of [[BetaCouple Phoebe kissing Gerald on the cheek]].

* Blink and you miss, but in "Love and Cheese", Ruth can be seen looking at Arnold and Lila and smiles at them. She may have noticed Arnold more then we realized and seemed legitimately happy for him finally finding a real girlfriend.
