* During the revolution of Rumekistan, Deadpool crosses paths with Domino; despite the two being hired by opposing sides, Deadpool feels the need to fight her non-lethally, simply because he knows how much she means to Nathan. She later returns the favour by pushing Cable to check in on Deadpool after the two have fallen out, and to not make his conscience punishment too hard.
* Another with Domino: After just watching Sabretooth [[spoiler: brutally murder Gareb]] and take her hostage, Irene is traumatized, and begs Domino not to leave her. Irene doesn't actually like Domino all that much (due to her own feelings for Cable), and despite knowing this and wanting to go find Cable herself, Domino opts to stay with Irene to make her feel safe.

* Deadpool and Weasel's reunion in issue #44, in which it is revealed that Weasel cut a deal and did his jail time to appease Deadpool's decision to be more on the up and up (and to avoid a life sentence) and that Deadpool has [=TiVo'd=] every episode of ''Battlestar Galactica'' for Weasel in the event of reconciliation.

* ''ComicBook/{{Cable and Deadpool}} #50''. After seeing Deadpool alternate between PsychoForHire, NominalHero and SociopathicHero for most of the comic it is great to see him go out and be a hero because he wanted to be one. The scene at the end where he decides to share some beers with his friends is what really drives it home.
** Also the panels right after [[spoiler:Cable blows up his own island, self-included, having sent Deadpool on a false mission to retrieve an item that actually warps Deadpool right back to safety in his own apartment]]. Deadpool sits down on his couch and turns on the news to find out about the explosion, a devastated expression on his masked face. "Nate...I wasn't worth it." * picks up gun* "...And I won't let you down."
** And most of Bob of HYDRA's fanboying of Deadpool in general.

* Cable and Deadpool had a lot of fluffy moments, especially since Wade busted his ass to save Nate's a few times. Turning on the X-Men to save Cable because Deadpool maybe kinda sorta believed in him, working to hook him up with an alien baby monster to bring him back (after Deadpool fried his brain. He told him to!), saving his adorable baby self from Mr Sinister...
* The first panel of issue #1 and last panel of issue #50 have Deadpool sitting in his apartment watching TV. The difference? In the first panel, he's alone. In the last, he's surrounded by ''friends''. And it only took him 50 issues to get them!

* In ''Cable & Deadpool'' #18, Deadpool, Siryn, and Cannonball find [[spoiler:an AlternateUniverse version of Mr. Sinister caring for a baby
Cable and trying to genetically engineer him into a mutant warrior/messiah for his own ends]]. Deadpool had a lot of fluffy moments, especially since Wade busted has this to say about it (and gets his ass own quirky CMOH for it):
-->'''Deadpool''': You're not allowed
to save Nate's crush his hopes and dreams and force him to do what you want him to do unless you're his ''real parent''! He needs someone who'll ''love'' him and teach him how to shoot a few times. Turning on gun and only show him the X-Men to save Cable because Deadpool maybe kinda sorta believed in him, working to hook him up with an alien baby monster to bring him back (after Deadpool fried his brain.
