Added DiffLines:

* Even though he's rather startled that Glenn is his son, Adrian does his best to get along with him. They're pretty much polar opposites, but Glenn takes to him right away and Adrian becomes protective of him right away. By the next book, his parents have fully accepted him and adore him, too.

Added DiffLines:

* At the end of ''The Prostrate Years'', when Adrian resolves that he must beat his prostate cancer and live to see his unborn grandchild grow up.
* Not to mention Pandora's return, and the implication that after twenty years, they finally get back together.
* Glenn's diary at the end of The Cappucino Years: "When I grow up I wood like to be my dad." D'aww.
* Earlier on in the series when Adrian helps raise money for Queenie's funeral.
* Adrian's mother revealing that his father looked after him as a baby when she couldn't cope -- especially since it was TheSixties, when such a thing was seen as unmanly.
* Everyone's reaction to Adrian having prostate cancer. His mum wants to swap places with him, his dad curses 'God', and Daisy even admits that Adrian is too good of a person to have to go through something like that. Over the years Adrian seems unsure of whether his friends and family truly love him, but their reactions here seal the deal; they *do* love him, even if they think he can be annoying at times.
* When his mother is revealed to be having financial difficulties as the result of funding her second husband's college course, Adrian sits down and writes a couple of cheques to pay off some of her debts. Considering [[TheScrooge how much of a cheapskate Adrian is]], this is a pretty big deal.
* In ''Growing Pains'', when Adrian is living alone with his heavily pregnant mother, supporting her through their troubles.
* In ''The Cappuccino Years'', when Rosie confides her pregnancy to Adrian.
* When Sharon shows Adrian a letter from Glenn, asking her to send Robbie a birthday card since Robbie's family has basically abandoned him, Adrian also sends him one.
* In ''The Cappucino Years'', [[BrattyTeenageDaughter Rosie]] of all people gets Adrian a genuinely thoughtful birthday present in the form of a collection of Chekhov's short stories. As Adrian puts it, "She is obviously the only member of my family who understands me".
