* An understated one; early in the film Slim expresses his displeasure with being used as a prop, and that he dislikes being laughed at when he's in this role. At the ants' celebratory party once the bird is complete, Slim is being used as a limbo pole... and is enthusiastically joining in with the "how low can you go" song and is clearly enjoying himself in the game. During Flik's DarkestHour he also attempts to cheer him up by making himself the butt of a "slapstick" joke without a hint of resentment or self-consciousness. It's obvious that when he's in the company of people he likes and respects (and who like and respect him as a person) as opposed to working for an abrasive parasite to an unappreciative crowd, he doesn't even think twice about using himself in a comical way to help others enjoy themselves.

** During Thumper’s attack on Flik, in a blink and you’ll miss it detail during the crowd’s reactions, we see a brief shot of Manny hugging a clearly terrified Gypsy to comfort her.

** One subtle moment that indicates that Atta does appreciate and listen to Flik's ideas despite often seeming dismissive of him up to that point is that, when Dot and Francis are being attacked by the bird, and the ants struggle to see what is happening, Atta remembers when Flik fashioned her a makeshift spyglass using a leaf and a dewdrop, and creates one herself to get a better view of what is happening.

** It's also cute that it's implied that the reason Atta kept screwing up the "Do I look stupid to you?" scene is because she finds the idea of being afraid of Hopper the actor uproariously funny.
