* Why was the NES game for North America called The Goonies II instead of just The Goonies, especially considering the first game was Japan-only as far as home consoles were concerned. I know that it was released as an arcade over here, but they still could have gotten away with calling the NES release of the Famicom sequel "The Goonies" since it's not uncommon for a home console version of a game to be vastly different from the arcade port.

** Let's not kid ourselves. Character actor Robert Davi is no Luciano Pavarotti.

** I took it as Willie just being that obsessed with keeping his treasure hoard safe. So much that he willingly went around the tip of South America.

** Do you have any idea how hard it is to make it as a singer, or performer of any kind, even for those with talent? I mean, jeez, this movie is about a bunch of kids taking on a group of professional criminals on a treasure hunt left by 17th-century pirates, and you’re complaining about what is probably one of the most realistic components of the film.

* How did the city commission of Astoria somehow miss the caves and trail when building the city water and utility infrastructure? With all of the digging required for utilities and buildings, you would expect some of the trails and traps to be revealed.

** Possibly the city's public works crews ''did'' notice the cave network: they just didn't consider it worth taking time off their paid labor or risking a nasty spelunking accident to poke around underground. It could well be that Chester Copperpot's venture into the tunnels was inspired by something one of the pipe-installers or well-diggers reported about what was down there.
