* How is it that characters like Captain Falcon, VideoGame/DuckHunt, Fox, Falco, Little Mac, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer can wall-jump despite being from games that lack platforming?

** Ganondorf was a clone in Melee because he wasn't originally going to be in the game and was omnly put in once they decided to make clones. He's still a clone in Brawl for a variety of reasons -- Ganondorf was staying, but they didn't have anyone to give the moveset to (another F-Zero character clearly wasn't in the plans) and didn't want to openly taunt Ganondorf fans from Melee by including the character and not the moveset, so...

**These mods are, more often than not, made by pro fans for pro fans, so they focus on ironing out the fighters and mechanics to avert ComplacentGamingSyndrome and on making stages with professional play in mind to avert AbridgedArenaArray. Fans of more casual play and the elements that come with it such as items, pokemon and more mechanically dynamic levels and character designs oftentimes get left out of the loop when it comes to development.

* I noticed most of the Game Mods, particularly those done with Brawl, do either minimal changes to the items (like Brawl Minus) or none at all that I can find (like Project M.) Why is this? Do they assume no one interested in these mods would play with items? Do they at least make sure the presence of certain items won't crash the game? As someone who loves playing with items, it's kind of a turn-off for me. Then again, I do consider Smash Bros. to be at its most fun when it's at its most chaotic, and my impression with these mods is that they intend to make Smash Bros. more controlled and orderly.

* Why does Marth have dialogue like "There's no way I can lose" and "Everyone look at me"? In his games, he's characterized as an almost disgustingly nice Messiah type who never acts condescending and he is often unsure of himself.
** I think it's supposed to be TheArtifact of Sigurd being planned as the Fire Emblem representant first or something. Of course, I don't know if the whole "They planned to use Sigurd" thing is real or not.

** Link jumps because he's always had a crippling fear or being left behind, and wants to stand out, and they're overtaking Samus because she ate the last of the potato salad that was supposed to be for everyone.\\

It's the intro to a silly fighting game without any sort of plot and it just looks visually neat.

*In the SSB64 intro, during the running scene, why does Link jump behind everyone else? And why does everyone overtake Samus?

*** Hmm, your Smash Bros. experience sounds different from mine. Playing matches and spectating them, it seems like a good 90% of [=KOs=] I see end in the flash of light. But in any case, the point still stands: The purpose of the Star KO and the Screen KO taking an equal amount of time out of competitive fairness is completely undermined by the existence of a third type of top-of-screen KO that takes up a shorter amount of time.

** From what I can gather, it IS because of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Re-releases of Pac-Land go through special permission with Time Warner for the music rights that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U did not. (I also noticed songs are far less likely to be remixed if originally composed by a non-Japanese person. Besides the Donkey Kong ones, there's only been a handful.)
