And he could easily just walk in, he's a shapeshifter for crying out loud. Only Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are implied to be considerably more powerful than average for their race. AJ and Rarity are never shown as being more powerful than average for their species and Fluttershy as the plot demands is implied to be weak. Considering the Mane 6 thrashed an army of Changlings on their own we have little reason to think that the average citizen of Equestria would be truly threatened by a single Changling as opposed to the utter swarm that attacked Canterlot. And certainly in a room with three Princesses he's not starting anything unless he's TooDumbToLive.
