** To quote TheOtherWiki: "[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trademark#Maintaining_rights Trademarks rights must be maintained through actual lawful use of the trademark. These rights will cease if a mark is not actively used for a period of time, normally 5 years in most jurisdictions. In the case of a trademark registration, failure to actively use the mark in the lawful course of trade, or to enforce the registration in the event of infringement, may also expose the registration itself to become liable for an application for the removal from the register after a certain period of time on the grounds of "non-use". ... In the US, failure to use a trademark for this period of time, aside from the corresponding impact on product quality, will result in abandonment of the mark, whereby any party may use the mark. An abandoned mark is not irrevocably in the public domain, but may instead be re-registered by any party which has re-established exclusive and active use, and must be associated or linked with the original mark owner. If a court rules that a trademark has become generic through common use (such that the mark no longer performs the essential trademark function and the average consumer no longer considers that exclusive rights attach to it), the corresponding registration may also be ruled invalid.]]" So while Hasbro can no longer use the names, the characters themselves are not in the public domain as the ''My Little Pony'' franchise belongs to Hasbro. I guess that means Hasbro ''could'' have regained the rights to Firefly and the other lost characters through MLP: FIM.

** There are plenty of adult female fans. They're just not usually as vocal (and remember the old outdated rule that ThereAreNoGirlsOnTheInternet). Examples off the top of my head: one of the three admins of Equestria Daily (Phoe) is a girl. Also, several of the fanartists (Madmax, most notably), the creator of FriendshipIsWitchcraft (Jenny Nicholson), and more than a few of random internet commenters and cosplayers. Plus, this troper has personally converted some girls to bronydom.

* Why on EARTH are we listing the episode recaps in production order instead of broadcast order? It just makes navigation more confusing than necessary, and production order doesn't matter in the slightest to anyone other than the producers. Surely only the broadcast order is relevant, and any alterations to the production order should just be documented as a footnote on the recap pages themselves?

* The creator of this show has said that she wants this to be popular not just with little girls but also with little boys and their parents. Now we already have many [[PeripheryDemographic adult males watching it,]] but do we have any confirmed cases of little boys who are fans of ''MyLittlePony''? Is this show raising a generation of boys who will be more willing to watch shows like ''HidamariSketch''? (Note: I mean ones that HAVEN'T hit puberty yet.)

** Out of curiosity, where would they find shows like HidamariSketch assuming they don't watch anime?

* Would they ever do an ArtShift episode, say giving it the animation style of (for example) ''RegularShow'', ''{{Archer}}'' or ''[[WesternAnimation/ThePinkPanther The Pink Panther]]'' or would that fail to work with the show's target demographic? Mind you, it ''is'' SomethingCompletelyDifferent I suppose for the show..

** [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winged_unicorn The Other Wiki]] currently credits PiersAnthony with the first verifiable use of the term. (It also suggests the more straightforward derivation "alacorn" from Latin "ala", wing, and "cornus", horn, as a possible alternative among others for the more technical-minded among us.) In any case, language evolves; the fandom may for all we know ''establish'' "alicorn" as a proper term for winged unicorns in the public mind yet, if it isn't there already.

** Calling her Derpy again would most likely get backlash from the MoralGuardians, and at this point Hasbro knows that it doesn't matter ''what'' she's called, because the fandom ''and'' the show staff call her Derpy. So they just don't bother.

** Promotion for both the show and the toyline is handled by Hasbro's marketing department, and they aren't always on the same page with DHX. IIRC, Twilicorn was used in some promotional pictures, and as a result DHX ''had'' to reveal Twilight was getting her wings. For what it's worth, this sort of thing has happened a lot during the show's run, and DHX isn't too happy with it. M.A Larson was particularly upset when nearly half of the 100th episode was spoiled in preview clips.
