**** Keep in mind that dragons, like other mythical creatures, tend to vary greatly depending on the region. "Dragon" itself seems to be a generic term for any legendary creature that is reptilian.

* I know this hypothetical scenario isn't even depicted on the show, but what would happen if a [[ChineseVampire jiangshi]] consumed demon chi? Would the jiangshi gain demonic powers? Would the drained demon turn into a vampiric slave?

* Where were Finn, Ratso, and Chow during Dalong's attack on Santa Claus? Both the previous and following episode once again focus on the talisman animals, so he could've summouned them. It seems unlikely for him to just let them go even temporarily.

**China has a very different kinship structure than the West. Possibility exists that the formal term Jade would call Jackie by could be loosely translated to "uncle" in English.

** Because when he possessed Jade, he wasn't dead, but spirit walking outside his body. I think that the body contains most of the individual's powers and that only some of them can be used by the walking spirits. Only through death the spirit retains the body's powers.

*** If a person is constantly harrassed by bad luck after losing the jewel, they'd do anything to get it back. If they are powerful enough, that means a whole lotta bad luck for the new owner. A bit WMG, but we don't know who or what created such a powerful bad luck charm; for all we know, the curse was only placed to cause as much chaos as possible by some mischievous Irish spirit.

** If I remember right, the phone call said he was *bankrupt*, not robbed. Maybe the emerald made something go wonky in the bank system, and the computers suddenly said Jackie had less money than he actually did (most banking is electronic these days). Maybe an error message popped up and the bank was legally obligated to call Jackie as soon as it happened. To answer about the plane ticket, my theory is that Uncle doesn't trust banks and loaned Jackie some money from a jar he keeps somewhere in the shop.

**Well, clothes just cover a person; when we wear them they are so close to us, it's like a second skin and it counts as part of the wielder of the talisman. A truck, however, is just a box on wheels. When it turns invisible, everything inside it that isn't a part of it stays visible.

**And heat and fire are not the same thing. They could be used very differenlty, but in practice, the show forgoed the pig most of the time in favor of the dragon which always made me wonder why they gave the pig that power anything.
