*Not really a plot headscratcher, but a character one that has always kind of bugged me. Why does the American Maria Hill have a Russian-esque accent while the (usually) Russian Black Widow have perfect American accent? Did their actresses swap roles at some point but not switch that one part?

** The issue is that Tony can't reveal his identity. Otherwise he could easily contest Stane and Hammer's claims to any of his armor designs patent or no, which would stall any attempts by anyone to build those designs for years. Also, it's highly likely that there is several components of the armors that are already patented by Stark International, meaning only Stane would be able to build them in their entirety even without that.

The Iron Man suits ''are'' weapons, the police use ''weapons'', and almost ''anything'' could be ''used'' as a "weapon" (like, say, [[{{Daredevil}} Bullseye]] could pick up a spoon...). Anyhow, it seems pretty hypocritical of Tony, who specifically made ''weapon'' to use against Stane, who he was calling out for weaponizing the Earthmovers. And by the way, what kind of government who could afford the thing ''wouldn't'' jump at the opportunity to purchase huge, giant, walking towers that shoot lasers at people? What's more, Rhodey's dad is stated to be in the military; you'd think he'd be the type to call address this issue with Tony.
