* Why is the Troll Romance represented by a red heart called the "Flushed" Quadrant? Based on [[http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=004280 this page]], Trolls flush their blood color, which is usually not red.

* According to [[http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=004405 this page]], Dream Tavros' legs still work, and Dream Vriska still has her eye(s?) (and presumably also her arm). So why is Dream Terezi blind?

** WordOfGod has stated, in response to a rather childish rant about Act 5 "ruining" Homestuck, that this is not a different story, it's the same universe, it's all canon, it's all background, and it's all important. You came to read Homestuck, okay. You ARE READING HOMESTUCK. You're just not reading about the kids right now. And you know what? I'm not in any hurry to get back to them. This change of perspective was good; it keeps the kids from getting stale and lets us return on a blank slate-- which is really good, because as of the EOA4, everything is going to change.

*** And it's now been explained: whether or not one dies from the Glub apparently has to do with the length of exposure. Sollux basically sacrificed himself to make sure Feferi got in before the Glub killed her. (Presumably the psychic effect still lingers even after her lusus dies.)

***The fact that Jack becomes [[spoiler: the ACE]] shows that the game has shifted from chess to cards. The [[spoiler:Ace]] logically trumps the King and Queen. God help us if the JOKER appears.

* WHY can't Dave just go back in time before the game started with several betas? Not only would they get more time to save Skaia, but they could make sure they don't make any of their horrible mistakes, what with their future knowledge.

*** It was the Vast Glub. That's even what Andrew referred to it as. (And the whole point of the Vast Glub being brought into the story was as a plot device to wipe out all the adult trolls outside of the homeworld. [[ChekhovsGun It wouldn't be brought up just to never be used.]]

*** Well given that the Vast Glub is explicitly described as something that kills ''every troll in the galaxy'', SOME sleight-of-hand would be necessary for Feferi to survive it.

** Feferi has a higher position on the hemospectrum, so she is less affected by it. She also got in before him. Less exposure time plus less effects equals not much hurt. More of both equals...

** There is basically no way for the chronology to work out such that Feferi was not present during the Glub. She had to prototype her Lusus before entering, remember? It can't have happened after she entered. So either she herself is immune to it somehow (given that it's from ''her'' lusus perhaps?), or being in the "eye of the storm" somehow saved her.

** Considering Feferi was the one stopping it from happening, it could be assumed that it would be after she entered her first gate. Though it begs the question why they didn't just have her leave last.

** The intermission is there to give us a better insight into the Trolls (since before all we really got was them being assholes to the main cast, as fun as that was) and will probably reveal some detail about the game. Most importantly, it will probably reveal where everything went wrong and why, which could have ramifications in the main story.

* Troll Intermission. I love the trolls, I love Alternia, I love Hivebent. But it's not why I read Homestuck. I read Homestuck, for HOMESTUCK, not three months of increasingly confusing romances, snarky references to how the plot "could've gone", not for oblique and confusing references to the Troll's true intentions and their planning, and (at current progression) three months without a sound update. I guess my problem is that it's different, not that it's a bad thing, but it's a different style from Homestuck, which is what I'm here to read.

*** Also, keep in mind that ''we're'' calling this a bug. ''Nobody'' in-universe, Troll human or otherwise, has referred to it as a bug, just a fuckup. This game sure seems sadistic enough to include things the players can do to make it impossible. The fact that you can push a box into a corner in Sokoban and make the game unwinnable makes it harder, but it's certainly not a "bug". In fact, I think that's exactly the right analogy to use, except that it's a lot harder for anyone looking to tell what's really "in a corner" in Sburb because the rules are so much more complicated.

**** Incorrect. "Matesprit" is the more sexual version; it even has its purpose (reproduction) right in the name. "Moirallegiance" is more platonic, though in some ways, it's a stronger bond.

*** But both time travel and psychic powers don't sem to bother the game, it even seems to encourage those, so the Bunny came about normaly. And there is nothing to show that any of the characters going crazy and killing the Queen is out of the ordinary, there are no other games besides the Trolls to confirm that. And to get really technical, Jack is still winning it for the evil team, just in an incredibly violent roundabout way.
*** It IS out of the ordinary. Jack Noir is a game mechanic that provides the players with a way to get at the Black Queen and take her out of the way early on, but since HE gets the ring in the kids session, his ambition, which normally is a good thing for the players, is turned against them. Basically, Jack is "programmed" to be ambitious, and giving him too much power has derailed the game from it's intended path. It's pretty obvious too, now that he's gone and killed the two "final bosses" the kids would've had to fight.

to:

** Besides, it's also for ease of typing. It's a lot faster to type CG instead of Karkat.
*** It also might be that as they grow closer, they feel like they can use each others names more instead of their screenames. After all, it was just a fun little game, but then it turned into life and death.

***Basically, WE HAVE NO IDEA EITHER BRO.

to:

*** Karkat later explains that some of the Trolls look down on Tavros because he's more or less incapable of hate. Even towards Vriska, he only really has dislike. Some of the trolls don't care about this, like Gamzee, but to the others he is more like a child than anything else.

to:

*** And to be fair, it seems to be dying down a bit. It's still up to the fan to judge whether or not Vriska enjoys her actions or is only trying to keep herself alive, but given Andrew's skill in characterization, just wait. The same fans who called for her death will be cheering support for her.
