** Wilbur didn't ''plan'' to bail ''anyone'' out, because neither his wife nor his daughter was supposed to BE there. Edna had only gone down to bring Tracy home once they realized she had snuck out of the house to march against their orders. Tracy then needed to be smuggled past the police (not just [[spoiler:into the pageant]], but also from Penny's house to the record store the night before) because she hadn't been arrested at all yet & was still wanted for the [[GossipEscalation ever-escalating]] assault charge.
* Does anyone else, besides me, think that Amber Von Tussle, in the 2007 film is just a JerkassWoobie who only acted the way she did because she wanted to impress her mother and dancing on the show was the only way for her to shine? I mean, in the end of the movie, [[spoiler: she accepted defeat and you see her speaking coyly with a black dancer]], implying that she made a HeelFaceTurn? I think the movie would have ended better if Amber broke away from her mom and decided to dance with the others.
** That would probably have worked, except that [[spoiler:she busted her ankle falling from the rocket ship]], so she couldn't have ''danced'' with the others. ;)
