*** Well, nobody, neither enemy or ally ever even brings up the possibility (even as Tyrion insists they can get her to surrender by appealing to her care for her children). Plus, we saw with Stannis that killing your own child is serious business even in this society and can get a good number of your soldiers to abandon you, but that doesn't seem to happen; on the contrary, it's implied from how the nobles listen to Cersei's propaganda about Dany and some nobles like Randyll Tarly defect to the Lannisters that many genuinely support Cersei. If they're cowards who are afraid of Cersei, they should be more afraid of Dany who doesn't need the element of surprise or days of preperation to blow you up. If they're cynics who want a slice of the pie, Cersei is currently the weaker army, so joining Dany would be smarter (though this brings us full circle to the AdaptationInducedPlotHole). The writers definitely know what happened, so the cynical explanation that they just didn't think things through is obvious.

** After all the other atrocities she's committed, I don't think that one really amounts to much. Basically it doesn't matter if they think she killed her son or not. Cersei is just ruling by pure terror and violence at that point. Everyone following her is doing so more out of fear or personal gain than anything else. What they believe she did or didn't do really didn't matter anymore. Also Jamie made a point that Cersei didn't have the support of other houses in the scene right before he leaves for Winterfell, making it clear that yes, most of the houses have in fact turned against her, for any number of reasons, which could include the one you brought up.

* The propaganda explanation doesn't add up: any reason that could be used to downplay Euron's villainy (he's foreign, he may be romanticized) would also apply to the dothraki. The three real reasons, Doylist and Watsonian are most likely A. As implied by ShrugOfGod, the citizens we see are just the schandenfraude-prone, and don't represent either the general KL population, or their feelings towards Cersei. B. The scene is meant to be part of aa TraumaCongaLine for characters who became TheScrappy, and we're not supposed to read that deeply into it. C. The writers, knowing they would end the series with Dany destroying KL, were trying to give her a reason to do so by showing that the people of KL inexplicably support Cersei. Ironic, isn't it, how sufficiently bad writers can toss out all logic to set up an ending that [[AllForNothing still doesn't make sense.]]

** Even in the books, the ability to say "no" is pretty limited. Sansa was forced to marry Tyrion in the books and she got no warning there (as opposed to the Show). If she said "no", the Lannisters would have killed her. Jeyne Poole likewise didn't have much options but to say "yes". However, Sansa-Jeyne in the Show (they are not really the same characters as the books anymore) was stupid in that she had the support of House Royce of Runestone. She could have stayed there in the Vale, especially since she had leverage over Littlefinger. She is the only reason why the Vale Lords support Baelish, they see him as Protector of Sansa and she becomes his trump card and only alibi. It's incredibly dumb and stupid for her to give up that advantage and suddenly go back to being under his thumb. The whole IdiotPlot of Season Five is so poorly written and contrived as to beggar disbelief.

What would dissuade the other nobles, soldiers or even smallfolk from assuming she'd had Tommen thrown out of the tower, and thus her claim to the throne is wholly illegitimate? ** As mentioned in the "Dragon pit of madness" question, showing her one wight in no way, shape or form proves the existance of an entire army. She has an undead standing right beside her after all. She could realistically expect this to be an elaborate ruse to lure her army out. Of course, her army had already been mostly roasted, and Dany could've taken the city in a few minutes or just burn Cercei and her cohorts in an instat right there and then, and once her lie is exposed Dany could've simply returned and still do all that, but that's another thing(s).

*** One of the advantages of being a lord (and an infamous asshole at that) is that you don't really have to explain yourself to your underlings or care about your behavior too much. So, if "Walder" told that he'd sent his sons on an errant, locked himself in his chambers, and gave a few short orders to assemble the crowd and prepare the feast, delegating the rest of his duties to his many relatives, it wouldn't raise red flags instantly. Any odd behavior like misremembering things could be written off to his age finally showing. Hell, if anything, I suppose everyone would be relieved about getting a break from dealing with him, ''especially'' his wives and mistresses. Remember, they're all terrified of him. They're not going to start asking questions until they absolutely have to.

** Dany had no idea who they were - just two more soldiers, nothing that worth any special efforts. She probably ordered the Dothraki to round up any survivors in general, but since Jaime and Bronn emerged on the other side of the river, even if some of the Dothaki saw them, they just didn't bother with them. Also, since the last she saw of them was when Drogon ''breathed fire'' at them, she had every reason to expect them to be dead already.

So he has spies in the centers of power -- King's Landing, Casterley Rock, Highgarden, the Vale, and the cities he trades with across the Narrow Sea. He might have a few spies up North in White Harbour and Winterfell; but what were the Boltons to Littlefinger, when he set up this spy network before the war? Ramsay is notorious in the novels, but TV Ramsay is portrayed as being more cunning, and Theon had no idea who he is, so presumably he's a bit more discreet. Sure Littlefinger would have tried to gather more information, but how easy is that in the aftermath of a civil war when communications are in chaos?

* So if I understand things in Season 7, the Northern Lords (including Sansa) expected and intended to fight with no help from the other kingdoms (except maybe the Vale), as shown by their protestations when Jon proposes an alliance with Daenerys in exchange for dragonglass. Simply put, did they really think that they could have fought off the wights and white walkers with very little materials that could consistently kill them (there's also fire but it doesn't work on white walkers and it's barely used in Season 8)? By the beginning of Season 7, they only had fire (maybe) and two Valyrian Steel swords.

* After Bronn saves Jaime by tackling him into the river, they somehow escape from Dany's dragon and army "off camera." How? First of all, shouldn't the dragon's fire have turned the river water boiling hot and fried them both to death? Second of all, even if that didn't happen, Dany saw them both fall into the water about 20 feet away from her. Wouldn't she just order her Dothraki to go capture or kill them? They couldn't possibly out-swim an entire army, could they? And even if they could, Dany could still send one of her dragons to roast them.
