* Series/JessicaJones2015 does some pretty unpleasant things to get Kilgrave, and is rather rude, sarcastic, and belligerent towards most people.

* Series/WonderWoman1975: In the pilot, Wonder Woman blows up a submarine, killing all on board. In "Anschluss 77", she kills the clone of Hitler by using her magic lasso to force the doctor to reverse the process.

He is an extremely dour sort but he is dedicated to his job and does it well. His dourness as it turns out comes from the fact that his wife was killed on 9-11.

* Proceeding Worf on this account would be none other than Spock of Series/StarTrekTheOriginalSeries. Like most Vulcans he’s haughty, condescending (especially of humans) and coldly logical to near callous degrees and stubborn in his own way. A lot of the TOS crew aside from Kirk and Uhura have real trouble tolerating him especially Bones who often can’t stand him. Nonetheless Spock is a tremendously brave and noble officer and as Film/StarTrekTheWrathOfKhan shows someone who will sacrifice his own life to ensure his crewmates and friends survive. Dr Leonard “Bones” [=McCoy=] himself also counts, he’ll complain about everything under the sun and is even willingly to slap a pregnant woman in retaliation after she smacked him several times for just trying to check her bump, but he’s ultimately still a good man and loyal friend.

Yet Annie is still an unquestionably a good person and one of the few supers in the show who is actually TheCape.

In Season 2 she willingly blackmails one of her boyfriend Hughie expresses how hard it is to be in friends Gecko who has a loving relationship HealingFactor with her. a incriminating video just so she can get her hands on Compound V which the heroes need. Yet Annie at her core is still an unquestionably a good person and one of the few supers in the show who is actually TheCape. ** Lister is also this to a lesser degree, slobbish, lazy and thuggishly trouble making when given the chance, he is far from the noble and tragic figure supposedly the last human alive ought to be. But he’s still deeply heroic and caring to his friends with his worst nightmare being waking up and discovering he’s actually a Neo-Nazi dictator in a dystopia. Lister may be disgusting but he is unquestionably a good man.

* Series/TheBoys:
** Billy Butcher is a prominent example of this. Grizzled, deeply unpleasant, crass, rude and dropping more F and C bombs than the most foul mouthed sailor alive he makes most anti-heroes look good. Though compared to someone like Homelander who is pure evil and vile beneath his feigned heroic veneer, Butcher as a FriendToAllChildren PapaWolf who is trying to bring down a corrupt enterprise and stop a bunch superpowered psychopaths, is really more of a superhero than Homelander ever was.
** Kimiko Miyashiro aka The Female is brutal, callous and potential threat to anyone she isn’t personally close to. Though she’s really just a victim underneath her violent tendencies and when given the chance to be something other than just a weapon she takes it.
** Annie January aka Starlight (understandably) becomes this, haughty, headstrong and refusing to ever display any weakness or willingness to back down in light of what she’s suffered she comes off as harsh and cold to the extent even her boyfriend Hughie expresses how hard it is to be in a loving relationship with her. * Series/RedDwarf:
** Arnold Rimmer fits this trope very well. A ControlFreak, a DirtyCoward and Jerkass Rimmer is nigh-unbearable to his crew with his best trait being according to Lister that he “sometimes left the room”. Yet when the chips are down Arnie frequently proves to be quite hero after all, seen in the Season 6 finale where when faced with the evil versions of themselves from the future Rimmer is the one who declares they should fight, preferring to die as they are rather than turn out like them i.e “Better dead than Smeg”. Additionally Rimmer’s AlternateSelf Ace Rimmer is an IdealHero, showing he does have the makings of a truly good man beneath his obnoxious qualities.
** Cat is in similar boat. Vain, bossy, selfish and ridiculously petty Cat mostly treats his friends as people he has to put up (or in Lister’s case someone who feeds him) in his quest to be dress fabulously and get laid. He’s totally okay with threatening to shoot Lister with a Bazookoid when the latter is trying to show off his “guitar skills” and in general is loves insulting and coming up with cruel nicknames for Lister, Rimmer and Kryten. Yet in Recap/RedDwarfThePromisedLand when offered by fellow Felis sapien Rodon to leave the Red Dwarf crew and come home to his people, Cat refuses saying he’s “already home”.

Callous, impatient, rude, thinks human females are fragile and generally is more of an irritable buzzkill than most Klingons (which really is saying something). When it comes to safety of his fellow officers, ensigns and family members however Worf is deeply protective and caring, having a HiddenHeartOfGold despite his best efforts to be nothing but a ProudWarriorRaceGuy.

** Five is like a pint-sized Hans Gruber for how utterly ruthless and conceited he is, he’s perfectly willingly to kill a room full of people if it means his siblings and himself can get the chance to go home. Although despite his best efforts to prove otherwise, he is deep down a good person who genuinely loves his siblings.
** Deconstruction Deconstructed with Reginald Hargreeves himself who similar to Professor X was aiming for this trope raising his adopted super children harshly with TrainingFromHell that was often ludicrously cruel in attempt to prevent the apocalypse. * Series/TheWitcher2019: Geralt of Rivia is as warm and fuzzy person as Darth Vader (and even has a similar wardrobe) being extremely intimidating, taciturn, ruthless and grumpy as hell. The only five things he seems to genuinely like are: Roach (his horse), Ciri (his child surprise), Yennefer (his lover), fellow Witchers and occasionally Jaskier (his bard sidekick). Regardless he’s still a DarkIsNotEvil hero fighting actual monsters and equally monstrous human villains.

* Series/PowerRangersTimeForce:
** Alex, the original Red Ranger from the 31st century, was definitely this during the brief time he came to the present. He genuinely wanted to save the future, but the way he forced Wes to relinquish the morpher and took over leadership of the team didn't earn him any sympathy from the other Rangers. It all comes to a head when, after their failure to defeat Dragontron, he spends more time berating and refusing to listen to them until they decide to stand up to him and give the powers back to Wes.
** Eric, the Quantum Ranger is a notable example of remaining an AloofAlly more than a proper SixthRanger, given that he never makes attempts to socialize with the others, and constantly rejects Wes' attempts to be friendly to him. He gets better by the finale, though.
