* While the rest of the scene is serious, the fact that [[spoiler:the Prism Lann Imprisms Brandelis in in the true ending]] is shattered just by it tipping over against a powerful wind makes it frustratingly funny in hindsight since [[spoiler:there was no need for Lann and Reynn to have opened the Ultima Gate and free Hauyn from the floating prism above and could've just chucked a rock at it (or have Tama fly over and bash it with a rock) or something]].

* After Reynn, Lann and Tama get the second key from Vivi, Edgar approaches them saying that their help has been most invaluable...and then opens his eyes to see the trio ''glaring and growling at him!'' When a scared Edgar asks if Leon relayed his intentions, Reynn confirms he did to which Lann simply growls. Edgar apologizes saying that the Federation was watching like a hawk so he--- and then Reynn, Lann and Tama let out one final growl.

** Cecil is introduced [[MythologyGag looking for a flower to cure sunstroke for someone dear to him]]. Edgar, and likely the player, assumes he knows who the Paladin's talking about... until after the fight with Yojimbo, when Cecil observes that a [[DragonKnight dragoon]] isn't going to go down from a day of fever. Tama observes that even if ''he's'' alright, his ''caretaker'' might not be able to cope with tending to an unruly dragoon for long, and Cecil hurries back for '''Rosa's''' sake.

* While a MoodWhiplash given this is [[spoiler:a victory for the bad guys]], the fact that [[spoiler:the other Exnine weren't thrilled with playing their roles to fulfill the (made-up) Crimson Prophecy]] is a bit humorous.

* Big Bridge Alexander is basically a diagonal elevator made from the body of an esper. However, when Lann and Reynn go to make the trip, [[spoiler: Eiko gets kidnapped and]] the lift stops partway up. Lann quickly realizes that they have to ''walk'' the rest of the way... across a transcontinential bridge... in a world where continents are hovering at different altitudes... which they started at the low end of... and are currently one-seventh of the way up.
