* Selvie requires repeated reassurances that Alain is not joking about proposing to her. When she is convinced she ''jumps'' to stand closer to him and accept.
* Alain teasing [[{{Tsundere}} Ochlys]] by trying to get her to repeat the plain-worded confession she just struggled to give.
-->'''Alain:''' Would you mind repeating that, just one more time?\\
'''Ochlys:''' I most certainly would! I told you, once is all you get!

* Primm reacts at first like Alain is informing her he is proposing to someone else (even trying to congratulate him and... herself), and has to take a minute to compose herself when she realizes he is asking ''her'' to marry him. By her request, Alain has to put his speech on hold during this. At the end she jokes on how upset Hilda will be to find out she got engaged before her.
* Rosalinde is so eager to be proposed to that she ''runs'' into the scene to sidle up against him and Alain has to ask her to give him some space to control his nervousness.
* Scarlett lampshades her position as DevelopersDesiredDate by asking Alain if his feelings are genuine or if choosing her is simply convenient for him.
* Yunifi suggests they add to their new family in the future, and Alain ComicallyMissingThePoint remarks it is a good idea but he only has one pair of rings.
* Celeste's scene includes a callback to how she acted like she was proposing when she was first recruited, and ends with her remarking on how she'll have to be careful her gryphon doesn't try to eat the ring. Alain's reply has wonderfully blunt delivery.

* When activating the Ring of the Unicorn and the [[spoiler:Ring of the Maiden]] in the climax of the good ending routes, Alain and his chosen partner will wield the artifacts by using their respective "Flourish" animations during the cutscene. This is usually a perfectly harmless and uplifting sequence save for if Yunifi is chosen since her Flourish animation not only showcases her rear rather prominently but also causes it to jiggle and bounce a bit as well.

* Giving the ring to Kitra flusters her so much that she runs off-screen screaming, and then runs back with her giant hammer, swinging at Alain to get him to stop "being so nice".
* Giving the ring to male characters will sometimes prompt skepticism over them being a "maiden". Alain will then have to clarify that the Ring of the Maiden's name is symbolic, not literal (after all, he has the Ring of the Unicorn and he's not a magical horse).

* Lex's first rapport conversation isn't even really a conversation but a ''nightmare'' Lex is having over what a LethalChef Scarlet is. Accompanied by music from a horror movie, he comes upon Chloe who proceeds to vanish from the screen like a defeated enemy unit, as if Scarlet's food (beef and goat milk stew) knocked her out. Scarlet emerges with a frighteningly dissonant amount of cheer as she targets Lex as her next taste tester and grabs him with sudden superhuman strength. Alain arrives and Lex begs for help, but in the face of Scarlet's food Alain can only turn around and run. Lex is about to meet his fate, when he wakes up with a scream. His relief is short lived though, as the real Scarlet now emerges apparently intent on asking him to do something. The horror music starts up again and Lex flees.
