* In ''Literature/TheWayOfKings'', we see Jasnah Soulcast a brigand into fire. When we find out how Soulcasting actually works (you have to talk to the object, cajole and convince it to change), audiences wondered what Jasnah could possibly offer to convince a man to turn into fire. Lots of people joked that maybe she just ''ordered'' him to do it. Then we see a Soulcasting from her perspective...and that's basically how she does it.

* In Dawnshard, [[spoiler:Lopen accidentally swears an Ideal ''again''. He doesn't hate anyone, so the traditional third Windrunner Ideal ("I will protect even those I hate") doesn't work for him. You may think that a CrapsackWorld like Roshar is full of doom and gloom with all its HostileWeather and BizarreSeasons. But within this series, you can find some good comic relief thanks to Sanderson's decidedly snarky sense of humour...
