** That time in TNA where Wrestling/RobVanDam was high-fiving fans fans in the front row. The announcers allude to RVD's upcoming match with Sting. One of the front row fans was a Sting fan, wearing a Sting mask, with Sting's hairline, and a scorpion shirt with Sting's name on it. As RVD approaches, the Sting fan gets up and hits him in the face with a chair, before revealing... ''It's actually Sting!'' People not caught up in the heat of the moment can clearly see Sting's face paint extending past the sides of the mask.

** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF1GegNcfbA During a Coffin Match between Darby Allin and Andrade El Idolo on Dynamite on April 20, 2022,]] Andrade's stable beats Darby into the front rows of the audience, stopping right in front of a fan with a sign saying "I'm here for Darby Allin." One of Andrade's stable members rips the fans sign, and security has to hold back the fan, who is wearing a Sting mask and a backwards cap. After the fan takes off the mask and cap, the security guard actually smiles and lets him through to attack the wrestlers fighting Allin. Why? Because ''That fan was Sting!''

** In WCW, nWo tried to convince fans and the rest of the locker room by making it look like their greatest opposition, Sting, had joined their ranks. They went as far as to recruit an impostor to stand in the ring with them as they cut a promo. As Buff Bagwell was posing and preening, the Sting impostor hits him with a Scorpion Death Drop. The Sting impostor then takes off his Sting mask to reveal... It was Sting all along! The rest of the nWo flee the ring in surprise while Sting stands there nonchalantly.

* What he [[http://cdn.sescoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/nwo-sting.jpg looked like]] after his Wrestlemania 31 match with Wrestling/TripleH. When ''Wrestling/ScottHall'' looks better than you, that's pretty bad.

* There was also that time in TNA where he hit Wrestling/RobVanDam with a steel chair while he was high-fiving fans, while wearing a [[PaperThinDisguise mask of himself]] and ripping it off to reveal himself.

* On the second night of ''Fyter Fest'' 2021, Sting was at ringside Darby Allin's match against Wheeler Yuta. When both men were down, Sting had a face-to-face with Orange Cassidy, who was at Yuta's corner, and the two exchanged Cassidy's signature lazy kicks on each other's shins and ending by simultaneously kicking each other slowly, and Sting top it off with a lazy version of his chest thumps. Not only the referee stop counting, Darby yelled at Sting, treating it as a distraction from the match or even a parent acting silly in front of his son.
* At ''Forbidden Door 2022'', El Phantasmo tried to twist Sting's nipple to no effect. Sting later returned the favor.
* On the March 22, 2023 episode of Dynamte, when Kip Sabian had taken Orange Cassidy down, Sting tags in and uses Cassidy's lazy kicks on Sabian. Thinking it was Cassidy, Sabian turned around only to see the Icon himself, who continued to kick him two more time slowly and then thump his chest lazily.
