* In issue 2, Fang is looking for Knuckles in Sandopolis Zone, using his vehicle's headlight to scare away the ghosts. Suddenly Knuckles jumps him and they start tussling. As they do, one of the ghosts holds back another, as if he's saying "Don't get invloved man, just let them hash it out."

* Rough and Tumble try getting one of their signature rhyming boasts out, only for them to both be cut off by Surge delivering an absolute CurbStompBattle to them. While she stands atop of Rough, she threatens to "make their tails match," which Rough pathetically cries out for mercy. Even when Clutch approaches Surge and Kit to smooth things over, Surge orders Kit hold them up.

* Both Heartwarming and Funny, Amy returns Bark his scarf he loaned her and cites he's not as bad his compatriots. Bark just wraps the scarf around his face and tries to put on a tough guy front to show he's still a bad guy. But it comes off more like he's embarrassed at the compliment (if you look closely, he's visibly blushing. Amy seems to think likewise and waves him off as Fang, Bean and he wobbly ride off on Fang's damaged hover bike.

* With Fang refusing to relent in his pursuit of this rumored eighth emerald, Sonic asks what it's supposed to look like. Fang can only bring up vaguely unconnected and inconsistent rumors about it, which has the hedgehog later go back to his hammock saying they're pursuing a lost cause.

* Bean and Bark bring up the times they teamed up with Fang, finding that he's become a rather incompetent leader of the trio. When Fang asks him one time they've been led astray by him, Bean brings up the last two times they worked with Eggman, and then [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking one incident where they robbed Amy Rose's house]] of a pie (with Bark clearly looking guilty as they look at it on the windowsill). Fang then tenses up as he recalls how Amy chased them with her hammer, admitting ''that'' one was entirely on him.

Omega's "distraction" is to lock-on to all the wreaths he put up, then everything in sight. This ends up also unintentionally sending Rouge to the ground.

* Sonic pointing out the similarities between the salamander who guards the cave they were in and [[MirrorCharacter one of their friends.]]

** One Vanilla gets back from shopping, both Gemerl and Chocola both sport faces of gear when she looks at the mess the fight left her kitchen in.

* The issue begins with Vector and Espio picking Charmy from the 199.2 KTBR Studio, as they had to return library books and [[NoodleIncident Charmy has been banned for life]].
* When the Chaotix are going to investigate in Central City, they're going on a car and there's traffic. Vector, not wanting to miss another case because of the traffic, asks Charmy to carry them and the bee agrees, but a guy accuses them of cheating. Then we get this comical exchange:

* When the Chaotix finally arrive, Vanilla gives a brief OhCrap face, due to their dinner being destroyed by the skunks' break-in. When the crocodile sees the brothers, he initially gets ready for a fight (Rough and Tumble also sporting looks of fear, clearly not expecting the detectives again), until Vanilla smooths things over. Vector sighs in relief, as their adventure had also left them ragged and likely wouldn't be able to fight them anyways. Rough and Tumble can only nervously smile and comment how they're not going to commit any more crimes for the day.

* When Orbot thinks of a plan, he says to Cubot the setup to a AreYouPonderingWhatImPondering line, only for Cubot to immediately interuppt him by saying he doesn't think. [[TheDitz Ever]].
** This [[IronicEcho phrase is re-uttered]] by Orbot when Cubot reveals that he "thought up the perfect solution" to get out of their situation.

* The winner of the decorating round is Team Rose (Amy Rose and Cream the Rabbit), who have created a [[FoodPorn tasty-looking spread of desserts and snacks]] that are winter-themed. Except for one, which was a creation of Cream's: a strange gelatin dish [[CordonBleughChef loaded with fruit peels, veggie stalks, and "everything else in-between"]] to avoid throwing away any leftover ingredients. Orbot is noticeably nervous about the dessert, while Amy says it "tastes great" and whispers that it's at least environmentally friendly. When Cream brings up the idea of creating a whole feast like it, Amy can only nervously look away.

** After Orbot quips that he's SequenceBreaking, this leads into the "big reveal" of the show that Cubot was hyping up: the Froggy that has been used in the Winter Jam is actually a production planted Badnik. This leads to a sequence of {{Reaction Shot}}s from the participants and the crowd, complete with a "LIVE" indicator in the top left. While Sonic, Big, and Cheese aren't particularly surprised, Amy, Cream, and Tails are shocked/horrified, and a Snowy badnik is so shaken that it destroys the nearby Egg Pawns.

* With the Froggy-Badnik reveal, Omega unloads his arsenal at it, causing massive amounts of destruction around them, along with giving Rouge the opportunity to take the emerald. And then Eggman shows up, annoyed about what's going on. With everything up in smoke, Cubot presses a button (helpfully captioned "Press if hecked up") to catapult Sonic and his friends out of the base.

** When Ray asks to be brought along to help Amy save Mighty, the blue flicky accompanying her apparently says something rather sassy, that immediately gets Amy angry enough to defend him (catching the Flicky off-guard). When Ray thanks her for the defense, she goes back to being kind, accompanied by roses behind her while smiling sweetly.

* Metal Sonic, who had been capturing all the characters in capsules, gets ATasteOfHisOwnMedicine when Amy manages to break everyone out, grab his attention, which consequently sends him flying into one of the open capsules. Fang then traps him inside, laughing about it in the robot's face.

* Tails sent Omega and Gemerl--two stubborn and extremely powerful robots--to spar in the woods after fixing the damage inflicted on them by the Zombots. [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome It went about as well as you'd expect.]]

** When she wonders where the other stick of butter went, Cheese can be seen glaring at Chocola, who has a hand in their mouth, likely implying they ate it sometime before their prep work.
** An issue later, Vanilla returns after getting supplies, only to find the kitchen a mess thanks to Cream and Gemerl's fight with skunk brothers Rough and Tumble. She displays shock then some serious TranquilFury with cutting words, [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness more so than any iteration of media]], making the brothers regret and drop their attempted robbery and hostage before the Chaotix even arrive. It also serves as a rare moment of awesome for the mother as she doesn't have (or even need) any super speed, strength, flight, or weapons to get her point across; ''[[MamaBear You do NOT mess with a parent's child!]]''
** Vanilla even briefly has BattleAura the moment she sees the chaos, colored in a sinister purple.
* There is something humorous about how [[EvilIsPetty petty]] Tumble is when he plants his boot over the freshly cooked roast Cream takes out of the oven. Only when she breaks down in tears did he and Rough regret how far things have gotten before facing Vanilla's wrath above.
