Now, you might expect her to be at least a bit upset that she didn't win First, as Wake is, but Dawn tells him that she's fine with it, because all you get for winning first prize is [[{{Celebrity Is Overrated}} fame, glory,]] [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers and a duck.]]

** Alkira attempts to grab Buster herself, but as soon as she gets close to him, [[SlapstickKnowsNoGender she slips and falls face-first in a puddle of slime]].

** The next night, Wake escorts Dawn in a gentlemanly fashion, and got fully dressed for the occasion. Also, he speaks in an over-the-top polite voice, with hints of FloweryElizabethanEnglish. Seeing Wake, [[PrinceOfPranksters Wake]], of all people act like this is hilarious. Dawn's uneasiness [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness at the whole situation]] is also very funny.

In comparison to WesternAnimation/SonicBoom, Sonic Boom Legends puts more focus on story and [[{{Character Arc}} character arcs]] than into the comedy. That said, however, it wouldn't be in the same universe as Boom without it's moments of comedy. Writer FixersChannel has studied the show's plots and jokes well, and this has been able to pay off into plenty of funny moments.

Seeing Wake, [[{{Prince of Pranksters}} Wake]], of all people act like this is hilarious. Dawn's uneasiness [[{{OOC is Serious Business}} at the whole situation]] is also very funny.
* In this episode, we are introduced to [[{{Deadpan Snarker}} Forge,]] who in this episode, is the doorman for the event that Dawn and Wake, and well as Fixer and Alkira, are attending. Wake uses his new polite behavior on Forge, who can only sigh at all the "fancy talk."
** Involving Forge in this episode, at one point, Fixer shows Alkira the bowl of punch. However, she is hesitant to try it, [[{{Comically Missing The Point}} saying it "sounds too violent."]] If that {{Stealth Pun}} wasn't funny enough, Forge, as if on cue, zips over to the table, takes Fixer's cup, and says that he'll take the drink if they don't want it. {{The Stoic}} personality shown in the beginning of the episode [[{{Not So Above It All}} flies right out the window]], and he downs the drink and slams the cup down on the table. Alkira's nervous laughter in response to it is also very funny.

* At the end of the episode, after the dreadful night she had, [[{{Pet The Dog}} Wake decided to give her a break, and soften up her chair, so she could have a comfy place to sit.]] Dawn appreciated this a lot, and felt happy and appreciative that Wake had changed for the better... [[{{Mood Whiplash}} Until it turns out that Wake booby-trapped the chair with a glitter bomb, covering Dawn in glitter.]] Guess some things never change.

* Emily, like Amy [[Recap/SonicBoomS1E12CircusOfPlunders would eventually do,]] offers everyone's assistance to Barker's circus. Unlike with Team Sonic, the first reaction that the team has is a {{Big WHAT}}?!
* Because he had yet to realize that Barker had a remote to set up the Circus tent, Shift brought Forge along for the heavy lifting with setting up the tent, who says that Shift told him, [[{{I Was Told There Would Be Cake}} "there would be pie."]]
* When asked what he would do for the circus, Erik states that he'd always wanted to try "the plate twirling and cup stacking," since he's [[{{Mundane Made Awesome}} "pretty good at putting away dishes."]]

* Despite the fact that Barker has them locked up in cages, Alley and Quayla are still able to spout out insults at the Stunt Bears. Doubles as a {{Crowning Moment of Awesome}}, since it shows that their high spirits are unbreakable.

* T.W. Barker is ultimately defeated via choking on bad sushi. Seeing T.W. Barker, of all people, get [[spoiler: defeated by his own nephew]] is awesome, but going down THAT way is something both [[{{Laser Guided Karma}} karma-tic]] and hilarious.
** He also gets a {{Vomit Discretion Shot}} because of this.

** After this, Fixer asks Alkira to go grab him the heater to fix the waterlogged robot, calling her [[{{Affectionate Nickname}} "Kira"]] in the process. Shift then becomes suspicious of the nickname, to which annoys Fixer to no end. The fact that one could get {{Shes Not My Girlfriend}} vibes from Fixer's reaction doubles the hilarity.

** The fact that the normally [[{{Nice Guy}} nice, cheery Fixer]] ends up threatening to hit U.T. with a spanner.

---> '''U.T.:''' (translating Fixer) [[{{Ship Tease}} It’s ruined my mood for movie marathoning today with Alkira.]]

* Later on in the episode, after Erik tampers with the wires and accidentally causes U.T. to tell nothing but lies, Erik goes to [[{{The Professor}} Fixer]] for help. Fixer, still bitter about Shift making him stay up all night repairing U.T., doesn't appreciate Erik's company.

* When Erik tells Alkira and Fixer about U.T.'s problem, Fixer [[{{Deadpan Snarker}} deadpanly]] asks if he [[{{Have You Tried Rebooting}} tried turning him off and on again.]] Could possibly be a reference to the Series/TheITCrowd, or more likely, is a {{Continuity Nod}} to [[{{WesternAnimation/SonicBoom}} "Counter Productive,"]] where Knuckles asks Charlie the same thing.
* After having an argument with Lucas over U.T.'s translations of Lucas' words, Shift throws the tomato he was about to buy at Lucas' face. Just before this, they were having a slight argument on if tomatoes are fruits or vegetables, seeing as how tomatoes have seeds. So, [[{{Mood Whiplash}} in a 90-degrees turn from the tense mood,]] when Lucas wipes his face off with a cloth, he simply states, [[{{Dull Surprise}} "Oh, tomatoes really do have seeds."]]

* While the beginning of the episode is loaded with {{Nightmare Fuel}} (specifically, in the nightmare sequence,) and gets a bit [[{{Tear Jerker}} tearjerking when Alkira talks about her nightmares,]] we do get a bit of a funny moment when Alkira, distracted by the thoughts of her nightmare, puts tap water in her cereal, rather than milk.
* When Fixer calls upon Forge for help to get an amethyst for Alkira, Forge agrees, though [[{{You Owe Me}} he states that Fixer owes him coal.]] Later Forge states that the reason that he went back to save Fixer from Ensham and his goons was because Fixer [[{{Brick Joke}} still owes him coal.]]

* When Erik is walking through the Forgone Forest, he steps in slime, and fears [[{{Our Cryptids Are More Mysterious}} the "Monster of the Green Slime" has come to the island.]] However, despite his fears, he decides to search for it, and snap a photo of it, just so he can put it in his "I-told-you-so" album. Yes, you read that right. An entire [[{{I Warned You}} "I-Told-You-So" album.]] The fact that he even HAS that is a {{Crowning Moment of Funny}}.
** When Erik finds the culprit to all the slime- who is [[{{Recap/SonicBoomS1E4Buster}} Buster,]] not the Monster of the Green Slime- what is Erik's first reaction? ''Taking a picture of it.'' [[{{Brick Joke}} With the flash still on from when he took the picture of the owl earlier in the episode.]]

** First, [[{{Team Mom}} Sophia]] offers Shift a chocolate-chip muffin, who accepts. However, in an immediate {{Mood Whiplash}}, she pulls him up, and scolds him for slouching at the table.
** Meanwhile, Alley and Quayla are admiring Akira's new necklace, who reveals to them that Fixer got it for her. Naturally, Quayla's [[{{Shipper On Deck}} shipper instincts]] kick in.

* When Forge tells everyone that Fixer found said gem in the mine, Fixer reveals that he actually took it from Ensham as they were escaping. Seeing as how this means that Fixer technically stole it, some members of the team waste no time to [[{{What The Hell Hero}} call him out on it.]] Forge, who might not have realized that Fixer had stolen it up until now, is not pleased, either.

--> '''Quayla:''' [[{{The Hero}} The hero]] going into danger for his [[{{Love Interests}} lady friend.]] [[{{Lampshade Hanging}} This is such a love story.]]
** After that, Forge boasts to Fixer that had it not been for him, Fixer would be dead. Sophia IMMEDIATELY steps in to scold both of them for not [[{{I Warned You}} listening to her warnings about leaving the village.]] Her "kids these days" line is also very funny, and [[{{Hilarious in Hindsight}} becomes even funnier]] when you remember that according to the [[https://fixerschannel.deviantart.com/art/Sonic-Boom-Legends-Easter-Information-Session-675107044 Easter Information Session,]] Forge, one of the two Sophia is scolding and calling a "kid," is a year OLDER than Sophia.
*** [[{{Rule of Three}} In the third funny moment in a row,]] Wake then jokes about how they call him out for his pranks, and [[{{Hypocrite}} yet, one of them was stealing, alongside breaking-and-entering.]] Dawn didn't think this was too hypocritical, [[{{Noodle Incident}} reminding Wake of when he broke her ruler via tossing a thesaurus across the room.]] Wake's response is golden.
---> '''Wake:''' [[{{Cloud Cuckoolander}} It was a revolution against the queen!]] [[{{Stealth Pun}} Besides, I used words, didn't I?]]
* After finding out that Dawn has a book on the Ancients, Fixers asks Dawn to do research on the Chaos Gem, she states that she can't, already having found a good read in a book called ''Jacket'', about a man who can teleport by just [[{{Psychic Powers}} looking at pictures.]] Wake decides then they HE will do the research that Fixer needs, but is immediately stopped by Dawn, who "doesn't want these books ruined." [[{{Understatement}} It appears that she doesn't trust Wake with her books all that much.]]
* And to top off the opening scene (yes, all these [[{{SugarWiki/FunnyMoments}} Funny Moments]] in ''just the opening scene,'') Erik finally shows up to the meeting, and shows off Buster to the rest of the team. Cue Buster immediately coughing up slime on the floor. Dawn immediately [[{{Screaming at Squick}} starts screaming bloody murder,]] loud enough to ''shake the outside trees.''
* Evidently, before [[{{Recap/SonicBoomS1E4Buster}} she sent Buster out on his own way,]] Sticks left a note on his satchel in case anyone else found him. Knowing that the one writing this is Sticks, master of {{Insane Troll Logic}}, you can expect she going to say something completely bonkers. And sure enough, what does the note say?
--> My name is Buster and I’m an evil slime bot. If you find me, don’t feed me any bones made by Dr Eggman, [[{{Cloud Cuckoolander}} or the government spies who tell the alien overlords where my left socks are.]]

** Erik eventually gets to the point where he decides to get Buster's "slime hose" cut. The {{Black Comedy}} [[{{Unfortunate Implications}} implications]] are quite funny when you think about it, as it, along with Buster's [[{{Oh Crap}} reaction]] could [[{{Does This Remind You Of Anything}} remind one]] of... [[{{Animals Fear Neutering}} well.]]
* When Erik goes to Forge for getting the hose cut, Forge says that he could, but he doesn't want Buster in the cave. He wasn't looking at Erik when said this, and is confused and concerned when Erik doesn't respond. When he turns around, he sees that Erik [[{{Screw This Im Outta Here}} made a break for it,]] and left Buster at the cave. Cue Forge's {{Unstoppable Rage}}.
** While Erik is running like there's no tomorrow away from Forge, he accidentally slams into Fixer. Is Alkira's first reaction to rush to the two's aid and help them up? Nope! [[{{Comically Missing The Point}} Rather, she scolds Fixer for not listening to her when she tells him to look both ways when crossing the street.]]
* In the end, Buster is able to snatch the Chaos Gem from Forge when the gang isn't looking. In order to get it back, the gang decides to dote on the unsuspecting Buster and approach the gem slowly. However, [[{{Tempting Fate}} Fixer decides that NOW is the best time to point out that the plan is working,]] to which Buster swallows the gem immediately. Erik's reaction is what sells it, though.

** When Buster swallows the Chaos Gem, you'd expect that he'd [[{{Recap/SonicBoomS1E4Buster}} turn into a tentacle monster like last time.]] But nope! Instead, [[{{Vomit Indiscretion Shot}} he projectile vomits slime all over Main Village]].
** Alkira attempts to grab Buster herself, but as soon as she gets close to him, [[{{Slapstick Knows No Gender}} she slips and falls face-first in a puddle of slime]].

** Forge decides to end this once and for all, and decides to head-on attack Buster, (to which Fixer immediately [[{{I Dont Think Thats Such a Good Idea}} realizes that's a bad idea]].) Forge jumps head at Buster... and gets sent flying back in a pillar of slime. [[{{I Warned You}} Fixer had attempted to warn him, though it was too late.]]
** When [[{{Only Sane Man}} Dawn]] suggests that they give Buster treats and get the gem, they do just that, but wonder how they're going to retrieve the gem. [[{{Mood Whiplash}} Immediately,]] Forge destroys Buster from behind, causing an explosion of mechanical parts and slime.

** And finally, Alkira punishes Erik for bringing Buster in and starting all this trouble, by [[{{Cool and Unusual Punishment}} putting him on clean-up duty]].

* In the beginning of the episode, Sophia mentions on how Forge and Fixer plan on catching the Book Thief, before saying, [[{{Mama Bear}} “Much to my disapproval."]] It also mentions that she turns her head while saying this, possibly doubling as an {{Aside Glance}}.
* Upon finding the [[{{Recap/SonicBoomS1E14TheMeteor}} meteor,]] Maniac [[{{Squee}} excitedly squees to herself,]] excited that [[{{Comically Missing The Point}} she'll be the only one in the Village with a meteor, and that the others will be so jealous.]]
* Even if Maniac's fright and panic over being stuck in Cinda's body is quite the {{Tear Jerker}}, Molly's increasing annoyance over Cinda's "forgetfulness" is quite funny.

** She does this while wondering how many satchels of yeast she has to put into the bread mixture. So, since she doesn't have the slightest clue on how many to put in, ''she puts in all of them.'' [[{{Sarcasm Mode}} This can only end so well.]]
* The scene where Maniac!Cinda returns the Ancient Book to Wake. How fast-paced the scene is and how quickly it ends is kind of hilarious, [[{{Big Lipped Alligator Moment}} especially looking at it through Wake's perspective.]]

* This episode is one big {{Crowning Moment of Funny}}.
** It beings with [[{{Official Couple}} Emily and Keiran]] at Quayla's cafe, out on a date. As soon as Quayla leaves the room to make them milkshakes, Emily laments that coming to the cafe may have been a bad idea, considering Quayla's {{Shipper on Deck}} personality, and says she may have a "fangirl stroke." Keiran then reassures her that she'll be fine. Then, in a written {{Gilligan Cut}}, Quayla [[{{Squee}} squees]] over [[{{Cuteness Proximity}} how adorable the two are.]]
*** After that, she gives them both one large milkshake, rather than the two small milkshakes they ordered. Though they do as her about it, ([[{{Blatant Lies}} to which she replies that there was an accident that made it so she had to use one large glass,]]) they just shrug and decide to roll with it.
** While talking to Erik, Quayla notes that some people are too shy to confuse their feelings for another, causing Erik (who's hinted at having a crush on Quayla) to do a {{Spit Take}}.

* So, then, Erik decides to keep Buster, [[{{A Boy and His X}} and make the robot dog his pet, with the okapi's unconditional love]]... until that love wears thin after a day of Buster doing nothing but sliming everywhere.
