* Some of the alternate voice concepts got reused from ''Tetris 1'' and ''Tetris 2'', but the new recordings elevate the silliness of the vocal direction. Lemres's "Sugar Rush" alt. voice from ''Tetris 2'' sound even more hysterically ''loonier'' than ever, complete with a voice line of him hitting the sugar crash.

* In the light novel ''Sig's Secret'', Arle, Amitie and Ringo ends up in a ruins to search for Sig and Lemres, and encounters a giant Nuisance Puyo who gives them three trials to complete if they want to progress. Ringo steps up and finishes them with ease... then becomes so puzzle crazy, she started hounding the Nuisance for more trials. [[TooSpicyForYogSothoth The giant Puyo had to literally beg Ringo to stop]], and Arle and Amitie had to drag her away before her addiction got worse.

* When ''Puyo Puyo Tetris 2'' was rated by the Australian Video Game Classifications Board, it was rated PG for "mild sexual innuendo". * In ''Puyo Puyo Tetris 2'', Maguro and Ringo engage in some BadBadActing, during which he states that Ringo made his cat fat by making him eat too much rice. The fandom was in a frenzy trying to get information on said cat. Cue Puyo Puyo Official on Twitter posting a picture of a cat[[note]]Said cat actually belonging to the account owner's parents.[[/note]] and begging the fans to stop pestering them for details, which only fueled the fanartists to draw Maguro with the cat. Some fans are still going.

Serilly is understandably afraid, Arle tries to find a way to sneak by, Witch finds it as a golden opportunity to harvest some ''dragon snot'' for a potion. She then makes Arle try to tickle its nose to make it sneeze, which inevitably breaks into a squabble over Witch's selfish stupidity. The bickering wakes the dragon anyway. Panic ensues. The cherry on top of it all is that ''Draco'', who is usually the hot-blooded one, is completely calm and nonchalant about all this.

He starts gushing on how cute the Wheeloo roll around and the Rammits hopping around...which, in turn, makes Donguri Gaeru jealous. Of course, he doesn't leave the frog out and dotes on it too, which garners exasperated but uncalled for creeper proclamations from Arle. He didn't even blunder his words that time!
* Once again, some of the alt voices are rather hilarious. Examples include Sig being perpetually confused, Ringo in a [[TheHyena constant giggling fit]], and Lidelle sounding very grumpy.

[[TooDumbToLive It promptly dies]], because we all know what happens when four Puyo of similar color touch each other.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6fIcnriH24 The credits sequence]] for ''Madou Monogatari: Nonsensical Final Exam'' has Arle is cooking curry at home when she discovers she's completely out of Rakkyo[[note]]Pickled Scallions[[/note]], going off on another one of her misadventures with Carbuncle just to find some. None of the usual merchants have any in stock, and a frustrated Arle is racing literally around the world just to get her shopping done, until she finally finds one store with them in stock. Just as she tries to enter, Carbuncle ''swallows the store whole''.

* As dark as ''Madou Monogatari'' can be at times, there's some moments where it breaks into hilarious MoodWhiplash because of how unexpected it is.
** Using [[StupidityInducingAttack Braindumbed]] on any enemy that speaks causes their words to sound incredibly sloshed in the text boxes. For example, Areiado Special turns into "Harehihado Fupehial."
** In the PC-98 version of Episode 2, there's a Dark Dragon that serves as the BeefGate of the first dungeon. Looks big and intimidating, but if you cast Fire on it, Dark Dragon is burned into a cartoonish charred lizard of what it once was, complete with slow-blinking bugged out eyes.
** Between Schezo's appearances in the original release and the Game Gear version, he is "promoted" into RecurringBoss. And by that, we mean he continues to chase Arle and gets his ass handed each time, getting more exhausted with each encounter. Arle is understandably exasperated at his persistence. The penultimate encounter doesn't even immediately initiate a boss fight because he's too damn tired to even engage in combat!
** In the novel ''New Madou Monogatari: Schezo and the Flower of Evil'', Schezo finds himself with his sword swallowed by Carbuncle, not unlike the [=DiscStation=] short "Schezo's Long Day". This doesn't stop him from wielding Carbuncle and casting magic like he normally does, ''and succeeds''.

* Arle's encounter with Schezo in the original game's CD remake, specifically the extended version when played on Hardest. Schezo says his (always misunderstood) CatchPhrase, but Arle completely misinterprets it as wanting something… more than that, turning red and saying she's not a lady yet and her heart's not ready. Schezo could only stare blankly, baffled at how this conversation derailed that far, complete with a nose drip and his sword getting droopier as she rambles on.
* In the final cutscene, leading to the match against Satan (Dark Prince), he tries to make an epic entrance… which gets completely blown when Arle calls him [[AccidentalMisnaming Santa]].
* The English release of the arcade game is not ideal, to put it gently. The text translation is generally okay, retaining the goofy banters found in the Japanese version. The voice acting, on the other hand…
** Arle ("Silvana" in this version) has voice work that reeks of DullSurprise, giving memetic gems like "Oh no…" or "Ouch, that hurt…" when the second player creates Puyo chains.

* After completing the very short Easy mode, Arle proclaims herself to be the greatest Puyo Master, only to be interrupted by none other than the Dark Prince himself, beckoning challengers to battle in his tower. Arle agrees… but [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere decides she'll do it tomorrow and walks out on him.]] Cue the Dark Prince yelling at her to come back as if his plans were foiled before they truly began.
* The game gives you a secret opponent as a last chance to level up before you hit a NonStandardGameOver, such as Owlbear at Level 2, or Zoh Daimaoh at Level 5. The one at Level 1? '''Masked Prince.''' You'd have to ''really'' try and score as little as possible to achieve this, but there's some hilarious {{Irony}} fighting the TrueFinalBoss at Level 1.
* The NonStandardGameOver is simply [[https://i.imgur.com/1DsAODb.png Arle unceremoniously getting booted out of the tower,]] complete with "おしまい (THE END)" in the shot.
* [[PaperThinDisguise Masked Satan's]] appearance, combined with how Satan is trying to enforce himself as an entirely different person. In some versions, he even spells his name out loud in kana to point that out to Arle, who never buys it and keeps demanding him to take off the mask.
* In certain home versions of the game, Masked Prince's mask shatters and falls off when he's defeated, leaving Arle shocked to see that he's none other than Satan himself… at least, that's what he'd [[ImagineSpot like to think]]. He's shocked she didn't fall for it, even after she already told him she knew it was him. You can see the fan-translated ''Super Puyo Puyo Tsu'' version [[http://youtu.be/Ogk_AJv3Gww?t=22m27s here]] and the voice-acted [=PlayStation=] version [[https://youtu.be/AS9x5JDAHd8?t=1m10s here]].
* In the Sega Saturn and [=Playstation=] versions, though, they have an entirely new set of cutscenes for more hilarity.
** Scylla invites Arle to relax in a hot spring. This, however, is a ruse to get Arle to lower her guard so she can be at an advantage. ''Thirty minutes pass'' and she manages to overheat Arle… and herself, both of them passing out in the spring.
** When Arle faces off against Incubus, what he tells her is so bad that half of his dialogue has to be [[SoundEffectBleep censored with sound effects]], causing Arle to turn red and cover her face.
** Draco flies in with her own fanfare. Instead of taking on Arle in a Puyo match, she wants to take her on in a beauty contest, and even went so far as to buy Arle a swimsuit. To Arle's shock, Draco takes off her dress revealing her own swimsuit (identical to the one seen in SUN). Arle is completely embarrassed while Draco urges her to hurry up and put it on.
** Upon running into Schezo, Arle immediately calls him a pervert. When Schezo demands to know why she said that, Arle keeps calling him that way, and the word "pervert" that appears over Schezo's head somehow lands on his head as if it were tangible. Schezo throws a fit and shoves it off, and tries to be intimidating to Arle… only to discover she was ignoring him the whole time. Schezo goes ColorFailure as a result.

There's also the weirdly funny irony in Arle telling him that Puyo don't like to be bullied… when they're popped en masse as spell fodder in matches.

And you fight him when he's [[NakedPeopleAreFunny only in his underwear]] because his clothes are hung to dry!

* Schezo's Master Quest involves taking down some Wheeloo in the waterways. The problem isn't them being tough foes. It's because he finds them ''too cute to attack''. He starts gushing on how cute the Wheeloo roll around and the Rammits hopping around...which, in turn, makes Donguri Gaeru jealous. Of course, he doesn't leave the frog out and dotes on it too, which garners exasperated but uncalled for creeper proclamations from Arle. He didn't even blunder his words that time!
* Once again, some of the alt voices are rather hilarious. Examples include Sig being perpetually confused, Ringo in a [[TheHyena constant giggling fit]], and Lidelle sounding very grumpy.

* The alt voices are once again an absolute riot. The crowning examples are Ringo stealing the spells of the other members of the 7 cast, Ess sounding like a SouthernBelle, Klug developing ElmuhFuddSyndwome, Feli sounding like a chainsmoker, Ai sounding like a stereotypical British constable, Sig acting like an old-timey game show host, Lemres being on a perpetual sugar high, Ecolo talking ''backwards'', Maguro sounding like he just woke up, Serilly talking underwater, and Ragnus talking like an Australian.
** In addition, they bring back the alt voices Ex and the Dark Prince had from Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 for another round. They're as funny as ever.

* Schezo came to Arle for a reason, and that reason being is Witch. She's being...incredibly affectionate, to the point of copying Schezo's "I want you!" CatchPhrase, and he needed Arle to confirm that something is up with her. Considering this is technically ''not'' the first time it's happened, the proof is questionable.
* Ecolo intentionally getting corrupted just so Ringo would help him personally.
** Tee comments that Ecolo must be desprate to resort to that.
*** Ringo's reluctance to help, characterized by a tight lipped smile and a groan, makes the scene even better.
* Despite everything he does for the cast, Ex has his share of being the butt of the joke. Ringo makes fun of his fashion sense quite often to name just a few instances. The best reaction must be when Tee says that Ex is a hassle and Ringo jumps in on the teasing. We are treated to Ex gasping as if Tee had insulted his mother and even invoking EtTuBrute.
* At one point during a side story, Ex gets so fed up with Ecolo that he actually silences him, presumably by holding a hand over his mouth.
* When Marle is broken free from Squares' control, she attempts to explain what she knows about herself and him, only to be stopped by Arle. Not because she's choking on exposition overload, but because Amitie's fallen asleep from the overload.
** The fact half the chapter is about people suddenly having an urge to have battles for no good reason.
* While Marle tries to explain her story, Ecolo wants to see Ringo smile. They both go offscreen and ''something'' happens between the two of them that has Ringo complain about [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall "doing stuff we can't show to the audience."]]
* The main cast making fun of Squares being mentally a child after Tee points it out and Marle confirms it can be hilarious. Especially because Satan and Ecolo are two of the ones to call him out. This is a perfect example of HypocriticalHumor at work.
* Even with self-awareness sprinkled in, Schezo's innuendos are a riot. He can't save himself trying to correct his blunders, sometimes digging himself deeper trying.
** Aboard the Tetra, Ess, Maguro and co. are passing time by doing beauty contests, with Witch dragging Schezo in. She's right about two things: he has a winning face, but his vocabulary is terrible. And he proves the latter with "Well, muscular bodies keep ME satisfied!". Then when Schezo attempts to salvage his blunder, he groans as if he knew he was six feet under and has to give up. Nobody buys it for a second.
** Then when attempting to justify battling Arle as rivals, he utters "You and I are bound and gagged together!", which is ''really'' bad even for his own standards.
* Witch has absolutely no shame in trying to brew (and possibly murder) Suketoudara in her cauldron all for the sake of making another potion.
* This gem from Chapter 5, referring to [[ButtMonkey Draco]]:

She then makes Arle try to tickle its nose to make it sneeze, which inevitably breaks into a squabble over Witch's selfish stupidity. The bickering wakes the dragon anyway. Panic ensues. The cherry on top of it all is that ''Draco'', who is usually the hot-blooded one, is completely calm and nonchalant about all this.
* In the LightNovel ''Satan's Space Amusement Park'', Arle, Amitie and Ringo are roped into a Beauty Contest with Draco and Witch for a stamp for their rally card. Everyone gets dressed up, but... are in outfits you wouldn't expect from a typical contest.
** Amitie: An utter CosmeticCatastrophe. She had the right idea, but poor in execution.
** Ringo: Maiko, in an attempt to highlight Japanese elegance.
** Draco: An animal costume, which is ironic considering she's all about beauty contests.
** Witch: Punk rock style, complete with ChainedByFashion.

** In the PC-98 version of Episode 2, there's a Dark Dragon that serves as the BeefGate of the first dungeon. Looks big and intimidating, but if you cast Fire on it, Dark Dragon is burned into a cartoonish charred lizard of what it once was, complete with slow-blinking bugged out eyes.
** Between Schezo's appearances in the original release and the Game Gear version, he is "promoted" into RecurringBoss. And by that, we mean he continues to chase Arle and gets his ass handed each time, getting more exhausted with each encounter. Arle is understandably exasperated at his persistence. The penultimate encounter doesn't even immediately initiate a boss fight because he's too damn tired to even engage in combat!
** In the novel ''New Madou Monogatari: Schezo and the Flower of Evil'', Schezo finds himself with his sword swallowed by Carbuncle, not unlike the [=DiscStation=] short "Schezo's Long Day". This doesn't stop him from wielding Carbuncle and casting magic like he normally does, ''and succeeds''.
* In ''Puyo Puyo Champions'', defeating your opponent with a [[CherryTapping 1-chain]] will give the battle results as "The ultimate attack!"
