* In ''Ultra Sun'', the Totem Togedemaru has an angry expression like the other Totem Pokémon... but even when it's glaring at you, it's just too cute to take seriously, and ends up being funny-looking instead.

* Most players were [[WhamShot understandably shocked]] when they ran into Necrozma at Mount Lanakila, but [[https://youtu.be/XC0NXyKgnFE?t=11 TyranitarTube's expression]], what with his SuddenlyShouting and AsideGlance, is just hilarious.

* Lickitung's ''Ultra Moon' entry has two conflicts with said entry lampshading the latter clashing with the former.

** Considering it's role as protector of the ecosystem, it's possible that Zygarde come to Alola in response of Necrozma & Ultra Beasts appearance. Too bad Alola is so far away from Kalos, [[TheCavalryArrivesLate it didn't make it in time]].

** Same situation applies to Solrock and Lunatone, who despite being themed after Sun and Moon respectively, are not available in Alola, even when ''Ultra Sun'' and ''Ultra Moon'' has several more Pokemon available to catch. Yet, in another example of TrollingCreator, there is an old guy NPC in the desert who asked you to show him a Pokemon whose name starts with "Sol" or "Luna", depending on version. The trolling here is that he wants to see '''Sol'''rock or '''Luna'''tone, not ''Sol''galeo or ''Luna''la.

** Speaking of Kiawe, if you capture a Cubone (grinding into Marowak optional) and teach it Thief, it can steal...a bone. Not just ''any'' bone, though, the bone that is the source of Totem Marowak's ability to put up one hell of a fight and its reputation as a salt-maker; the Thick Club. Your Cubone will get an awesome boost from it too, and its Ground typing is super effective against Alolan Marowak's Fire/Ghost typing. So essentially, you're taking the source of Alolan Marowak's power and bludgeoning it to death ''[[HoistByHisOwnPetard with its own weapon.]]''

* In Po Town, there's a Totem Sticker on the side of the Shady House. When you begin to take it, however...turns out Team Skull stuck ''more'' stickers on top of it, meaning you'll be pulling stickers from the same spot for a while.

* As in previous game you can get am[[{{Pun}} bush]]ed by Pokémon jumping from nearby bush. However, on Poni Plains, one of the Pokémon jumping at you is ''Chansey''. That's right, a Pokémon, who is larger than ''entire plant'' as its shadow indicates, can somehow hide in it undetected.

* Part of Palossand’s ''Ultra Sun''’s entry reads, “Each of its grains of sand has its own will.” The design means that hundreds - or possibly thousands - of sentient grains of sand thought of nothing other than to make the shovel that sticks out of the top of Palossand rotate.

* After Giovanni's defeat, Faba desperately tries to cover up his involvement with Rainbow Rocket, only to accidentally ''confess to everything, even his reasoning for doing it''. There's a brief {{Beat}} where Lillie looks surprised, Guzma looks like he can't believe how ''stupid'' Faba is, and Lusamine is giving Faba a DeathGlare before Faba runs screaming from the room.

* A side quest involves a reporter looking for an interview with Tapu Bulu, which you need to capture for the side quest to be completed. As the reporter questions, [[RealityEnsues Tapu Bulu's answers are only "Bulu-lu".]] Eventually, Tapu Bulu gets fed up with the questions and [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere goes back into its Poké Ball]]. The reporter's extremely excited personality and her insisting on interviewing Pokémon despite [[PokemonSpeak language issues]] imply that she is the same reporter who tried to interview the star Pikachu in Hano Grand Resort, making it a CallBack as well.

* When the player first scales Wela Volcano Park, a Hiker (possibly David the Photobombing Hiker from Kiawe's Trial) will be there to greet them instead of Kiawe.

** If you have fought Ghetsis in the original ''Black'' and ''White'' and got your team obliterated by his Hydreigon, finally having a chance to [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill obliterate]] his Hydreigon with "Let's Snuggle Forever" during Rainbow Rocket Episode can be [[CatharsisFactor hilariously satisfying]].

** If you have fought Ghetsis in the original ''Black'' and White'' and got your team obliterated by his Hydreigon, finally being able to [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill obliterate]] his Hydreigon with "Let's Snuggle Forever" can be [[CatharsisFactor hilariously satisfying]]

* Mimikyu's new "Let's Snuggle Forever" Z-move is as hilarious as it is creepy. Mimikyu dashes through a forest, scaring the opponent, before attacking them from above and engulfing them in its disguise, which can even stretch to accommodate for potentially large sizes. The trainer signals Mimikyu with a thumbs-up and Mimikyu beats up the opponent underneath the disguise before throwing them out.
** The trainer's cheesy grin when they give the thumbs-up provides some weapons-grade ComedicSociopathy.[[note]]Delves into FridgeHorror territory when you realize that meant the poor sap must have seen Mimikyu's [[EldritchAbomination true form]]...[[/note]]

* Buzzwole's Ultra Space, Ultra Jungle, which looks normal compared to other Ultra Spaces except for the gigantic trees, which have their branches bend in a way that it looks like they are flexing; [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMuH9XXeVWQthat the theme]] that plays makes it funnier.

** And remembering the PlayerCharacter moved to Alola ''from'' Kanto and probably has experience with gyms (or at least has ''some'' level of familiarity with the concept), one has to imagine the amount of cringe going through their head.

* One of the BlackComedy kind: Reading a random book will tell the player the cute children's story of how Pikachu, Pyukumuku, and Slowpoke set out on their island journey and tells the reader to look out and try to see this plucky trio. You can find them either as a cameo appearance in the Pikachu Valley, or [[MoodWhiplash as cryogenically frozen statues in Lusamine's dungeon]].

* One sidequest that you'll find once you reach near Route 16 is a fisherman whose Starmie wants a staring contest with any Pokémon that it finds. You need a Pokémon that learns "Tickle", and one of the Pokémon that can learn it at this game is... Mr. Mime. You don't get to see it, but the notion that a Starmie is defeated through "Tickle" is hilarious. The Starmie, however, wants to do another staring contest when it's over, but the trainer has had enough and just wants to go home.

* The villainous team leaders in Team Rainbow Rocket hold all their Pokémon in Master Balls. Makes sense for the Legendary Pokémon they're carrying, but when they send out something like [[ComMons Mightyena or Crobat]], it comes off as [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill just a bit overkill]]. Lysandre's Gyrarados leads to a particular brand of humor if you imagine him wanting a Magikarp so badly that he's willing to use a Master Ball on it.
