** While most of the Daltons TrainingFromHell consisted of workouts that are actually useful such as running, jumprope, eating healthy, boxing, strength training and sharpshooting, one particular activity stands out... teaching themselves to make mean and scary faces so people will take them seriously as outlaws. It worked, obviously, but usually that's something you pick up through experience rather than practicing in front of a mirror like Creator/RobertDeNiro in ''Film/TaxiDriver''.

* ''Funny/LuckyLukeBalladOfTheDaltons''

* In ''WesternAnimation/LuckyLukeBalladOfTheDaltons'', Averell's response to the Desert of Thirst:
-->"Woulda been worse if it'd been the Desert of Hunger."
** Throughout the movie, Rintincan is convinced that the Daltons stole the jail (they actually blew it up while attempting to dig their way out), so he follows them around intending to capture them. When they reach the Desert of Thirst, this is what he has to say:
--->"It's gettin' worse, now somebody's [[BreakingTheFourthWall stolen the scenery!]]"

* '''"Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure"''':
** At the beginning, the New York City police gives the Daltons chase when they hijack a tramway. Apparently, ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyzVvSa70qE all of them]].'' At one point during the chase, the Daltons are driving in the wrong direction and have to avoid all the vehicles driving in their direction.
-->'''Joe:''' [[HypocriticalHumor They drive like lunatics in this city! Where are the police?!]]
** Averell keeps getting his hands on pistols and hiding them from his brothers, and using them as models to make replicas out of soap and cacti. He keeps pulling them out as Joe laments not having a gun, to the latter's dismay at the fact that Averell has been hiding a gun for weeks.
--> '''Jack:''' Where'd you get them guns? You have a collection, or what?
** There's this one scene where Luke confronts the Daltons and he's about to shoot them. We see his shadow preparing itself and being this close to shoot, only for Luke to shoot faster than it (as usual). The shadow takes its hat and starts jumping on it frustrated.

Added DiffLines:

** Luke's capture of Averell; along his stupidity and BigEater tendencies, Averell was originally portrayed as TheBrute of the group (at least after their TrainingFromHell), and managed to fight Luke to a standstill, with the two trashing the whole saloon and beating the crap out of each other. Too tired to keep going, they agree to pick it up again in the morning, only for Averell to spend the whole night chasing after a mosquito Luke let into his room, leaving him exhausted and easily beaten the next day.

Added DiffLines:

** While cleaning up the saloon, Joe forces his brothers to dance on the stage to test it out. Luke says it does brighten up the place, but that Joe should hire a dance troupe, since the outlaws they want as customers would probably prefer female entertainment.

Added DiffLines:

** The Daltons handing out wedding invitations to outlaws from across the territory, with Averell giving one to a delinquent grade school student!
** One of the outlaws shows up to the wedding dressed in ''Cossack'' formal wear, because it was in the luggage of a tenderfoot he robbed.

** How the Daltons end up in prison again? Basically, they could gain their freedom on the condition they wouldn't commit any criminal activities for a month and Averell bought a calendar to count the days. Once the month was over, they started behaving in their old ways, until they realised Averell had bought the wrong calendar, which had fewer days than the actual month.
