It's a parody of the internet of the 90s and early 2000s, of course there's going to be a lot of humor. Whether it be because of the users or since the game hits close to home, you can be sure to BWL!

* Counselor Ronnie's page becomes funnier when you find out that he started out as a prank created by an intern at Merchantsoft, but the company's incompotency forced him to actually become a real counselor and moderate Teentopia. So, [[EpicFail Jezzo essentially pranked himself into getting another unpaid job.]]

** T1m also pranked [=SherriHeals=] and a client of her's by pretending to be a demon (really just a bad CGI head on a stock photo of a potato) named Smoulder Boulder.

** The hidden Chowder Man song "One Legged Man" is for the most part a TearJerker, but still manages to inject a bit of humor by having him count off in 3[=/=]4 time and then play the entire song in 4[=/=]4 time.

** A virus he made that you can end up getting during the course of the game is simply called "[=ButtsDisease=]". All it does is make [=HYPII=] comment that its butt hurts, change every window title to "butts" and replace the keyboard sounds with fart noises.

His portrayal by Music/HotDad and the music that he makes are hysterical, and you get to hear a classic yet [[NarmCharm actually enjoyable]] single of his throughout the Freelands, "Ready to Shave."

* The Y2K update for [=HypnOS=] initially causes some jittering and stuttering from the program. Their choice of changing this aesthetic is also humorous for emulating how operating systems wanted to make their aesthetic more "sleek" when going into the 2000's.

* The Dumpster ridicules any part of Hypnospace they deem worthy of mocking, and their articles can flesh out the world of Hypnospace with a humorous and snarky slant. Hearing how Coolfest '99 was a complete disaster (apart from the tragic helicopter incident) is very, very entertaining.

* [=SquisherZ=] is the resident {{Phonymon}}, which has its critics that of course detract it as Satanic and being concerned that it'll turn kids into sinners and criminals. But reading a review of the game made by The Observer reveals that these people have even ''less'' of a leg to stand on even compared to Pokemon, as the game's "combat" system is entirely based around being diplomatic and kind to animals to help get them to safety.

** The birthstone subpage that Ronnie hosts really make one wonder how [[spoiler:Ronnie got Hypnospace awarded a federal education grant]]. Especially with [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=WqQ0tmrFfyI the song that plays]].

* The Dumpster ridicules any part of Hypnospace they deem worthy of mocking, and their articles can flesh out the world of Hypnospace with a humorous and snarky slant. Hearing how Coolfest '99 [[spoiler:was a complete disaster (apart from the tragic helicopter incident)]] is very, very entertaining.

** Rodney Hooks' page is a long scrolling down to what he promises are serious secrets... [[spoiler: and then it turns out that it's all still under construction, for the better of two whole chapters. When he finally finishes, he doesn't even know how to upload his files to lead the page to anything.]]
