The next morning, that reached the newspaper headline, and the rest of the team tried so hard to make sure Takeru doesn't know, with excuses like 'No newspaper today!'. Takeru does find out, get pissed, and their comebacks actually does make it look like they confirm the suspicion. It might look like something that wouldn't look out of place from a TearJerker and the episode does end with everyone reflecting on accusing Takeru, but the delivery of the news in the beginning and Takeru's rather well-placed over-the-top reaction placed it to Funny instead.
