* In the 80th Anniversary Special, Hal crash lands on in a desert unknown planet after a long battle with the Sinestro Corps with no idea where he is and fuzzy memories of how he got there. His ring is damaged and on its last reserves of power with him not knowing if the planet he's on can support human life. With only enough power to send three messages he sends a distress call. Then he sends a message to Batman, apologizing for being such a pain in the ass and thanking him. The final message is a dying love letter to Carol. This would all be a combo of Nightmare Fuel, Tearjerker and Heartwarming, except [[spoiler: Hal realizes he can breath. He makes his way over a hill to see Las Vegas and that he was on EarthAllAlong. With his ring dead he is unable to pull the messages and he laments that he will NeverLiveItDown. Cut to Hal sitting as the Justice League is laughing at his blunder and even Batman has a smirk.]]

* Pretty much every other thing out of Hal's mouth in the film is this, but special mention should go to the scene where he's trying to figure out the oath and comes up with [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory "To infinity and beyond!"]] and [[WesternAnimation/HeManAndTheMastersOfTheUniverse1983 "By the power of Greyskull!"]]
** The first oath he tries is something along the lines of "I pledge allegiance... to a lantern... I got from a dying ... purple ... alien. (''beat'') In a swamp."
* Killowog in the movie "The human? Ain't never seen one before..." *leans in and sniffs Hal* "You smell funny." "''I'' smell funny?"
* Hal showing the ring to Tom prompts him to ask if the alien had proposed with the ring. Despite the serious tone, the thought that Tom imagined Abin Sur getting down on one knee to ask for Hal's hand in marriage is hilarious.
* Hal showing his friend the ring: "Ring ... [[FlippingTheBird finger]] ..." *Strikes Pose ... ''Nothing'' happens* "Must be outta juice."
--> '''Tom''': Did you break it ''already''?
** The best part is Tom is all fanboying out and doesn't seem to notice Hal flipping him off.
* The scene of Carol Ferris recognizing Hal as Green Lantern. [[spoiler: "I've known you my whole life! I've seen you NAKED! You don't think I would recognize you because I can't see your cheekbones?!"]]
** When she's caught on to him, Hal tries to maintain the ruse. When she pushes, though, you can see him just barely manage to hold back laughter.
** Made even funnier when you realize that the line was an ad-lib by Blake Lively.
* "Now let's take off these pants and go fly some planes."
** "There's water in the tap."
* The scene where Hal says the ring is a huge responsibility and Tom goes, "Responsibility? You!?"
-->'''Tom''': Well, maybe on their planet "responsibility" just means "asshole".
-->'''Hal''': Let's hope so.
* When Hal first sees his new suit and starts strutting around to goofy music.
-->'''Tomar-Re''': [[DeadpanSnarker Are you finished admiring yourself?]]
