** Although the part where Asami thinks that Akihito's presence is only in his head can also count as heartwarming, since he confesses to the man not that long after that he would always dream of him.

* Even in context, it's hard not to chuckle at Kirishima scolding Akihito for getting into a fight in the same manner a mother scolds their child. It doesn't help that when Akihito is escorted back to Asami's apartment, it's reminiscent of a child coming back to a parent who is ''not'' pleased with their misbehavior. Then the clincher is Akihito's very meek, "I'm home... "

* The arc starts with Akihito returning to Japan... and the first thing he comes home to is the fact that his apartment was emptied, and left with only a key to Asami's apartment. Later, he then fantasizes what it would be like if he were to live with the other man, though his brain starts conjuring some ridiculous and overly sappy fantasies that greatly freak him out.

* As Asami and Fei Long converse via video chat about what happened to Akihito after the shoot-out at the warehouse, they watch a security feed which shows Akihito getting kidnapped from the hospital. All of a sudden, a shirtless pops up from behind Fei Long when he recognizes Sakazaki in the feed. Alex and Kirishima look nothing short of shocked at the BedmateReveal, while Asami has no reaction of any sort to Mikhail's presence, and Fei Long gives Mikhail [[DeathGlare a dark look]] for showing his face when he's trying to hide the fact that they've been tumbling around in the sheets from the men on the other side of the screen.

* During the New Year special issue, Akihito kept drunk-dialing Asami. The fact that Asami actually got ''angry'' at him, as he is usually amused by Akihito's antics, made it all the more hilarious.

* After Akihito takes an aphrodisiac and drugs Asami with it via a kiss, both of them have ''very'' wild sex in the latter's office... leading to the aftermath of Kirishima scolding Akihito for his actions (with the younger man kneeling on the floor in shame) and ''whacking his own boss'' on the head to keep him in check.
** What's even more priceless was that Asami, still under the effects of the drugs, offers to help Kirishima "relax", which horrifies Akihito. Kirishima isn't having any of it and hits Asami's head with a paper fan, sternly telling him to behave himself.

* One day, Asami goes back home, only to find himself greeted with a loud wail... from a baby that Akihito is taking care of. Which then leads to this exchangee:

* Asami realizes that the bruises on Akihito's body are because Akihito of the latter's job playing a hero in a live Franchise/SuperSentai-esque show, where the man playing the villain doesn't hold back with his punches and kicks. Asami's response? ''Put on a sentai hero costume, interrupt the show as a surprise character, and give the bugger a sound beating''... all while the host improvises and claims it's all part of the script. Then in the locker room, Akihito looks comically flabbergasted when Asami unmasks himself, due to the simple fact that it's ''Asami'' donning a hero costume, or in other words, ''cosplaying''.

* Whilst stranded on the island, Asami and Akihito stumble upon a bunch of mushrooms, which then suddenly explode into hallucinogenic fumes that make the duo dream that they are on their honeymoon. The last thing they dream of is dancing on their wedding night... before snapping back to reality in a ballroom dancing pose where Asami is dipping Akihito, who has one leg raised upright, and they're both under heavy rainfall. The pure look of "What the '''''fuck''''' just happened?!" on their faces is completely priceless, especially since they don't remember any of the hallucinations.

Just because the story is centered around crime bosses and their tumultuous histories with each other doesn't mean that humor is completely nonexistent.

Then when Asami properly comes to, [[RubberFace he suddenly starts pinching the other's cheeks]], much to Akihito's irritation.

* When Kirishima finally gets in touch with his boss, the excitement leaves him with NoIndoorVoice whatsoever when he contacts Asami by phone, with Alex (who's holding the phone) flinching twice at the loud voice booming over the speaker, and Asami having an expression that's the perfect blend of both blank and startled.

Asami is relatively calm about the issue given that it occasionally happens... but then he gets word that Akihito took a flight to Hong Kong and is currently hanging out with Fei Long. He's then very close to popping a vein.
