* The airship remodeling scene is funnier. During the Falcon's first remodel, Cid sees Edge lazing around before dragging him in and arguing with him. After some hammering work a few times, one of the Dwarf workers suddenly falls over the edge of the bridge but grabs onto it. Cid, surprised, tries helping him, and the others follow as well.
** The scene then fades into the infirmary, when Cid tells Cecil that the Falcon can now travel through the lava, and Cecil thanks him. Cid then suddenly becomes unresponsive, prompting Kain to react in shock with, [[SayMyName "Cid?!"]] Cue the short stunning shock music that plays when characters suddenly just die, as if Cid were no longer among the living... then [[CatchingSomeZs Z's appear above his head]], indicating that Cid's just drifted off to sleep. The guy has worked himself to exhaustion, giving us quite a scare for a bit.
** During the second remodel of the Falcon, Edge takes a break from working to flirt with Rydia. Cid sees this and gets angry before Edge quickly turns to Rydia and is all like, "Oops, gotta go!" as Cid approaches him and drags him back to the ship. Their arguing with each other turns into a fight in which fisticuffs are used against each other until Cid wins the fight. Then Edge gets up and resigns before getting to the engine. When he stalls a bit, Cid is all like, "Get a move on, you lughead!" After a few bouts of metal hammering, Cid approaches Cecil as if to dance in triumph... until he clutches his chest in exhaustion and falls unconscious to Cecil's shock. Talk about a MoodWhiplash.

* The secret gentlemens' club in Troia was a great dancing girl show in the original game. In ''The After Years'', Palom can enter it. Those who played the original will remember the dancing girl show. Just as the show starts, the dancers suddenly turn into old ladies, complete with ScareChord. Throughout the 'dance number', it plays the "Suspicion" music. Serves as NightmareFuel for Palom when the old ladies drag him up on stage, kicking and screaming for Lenora to help him before blacking out.

* Cecil ends up alone (again), and the only reachable town is Mysidia, i.e. the town he attacked in the prologue. Needless to say, the townsfolk are still salty about that, and speaking to the various mages will get Cecil shrunk or turned into a frog or a pig.

* Edward and Cid are poor fighters. But in the remakes, if you level them up to 70, you are in for a treat. ''Is your file corrupt? Is this a sick practical joke by Square which won't go away?''
