To emphasize: Pankraz, by far one of the most powerful NPCs you ever have in your party in the Dragon Quest franchise let alone DQ5 and can weather almost anything, is completely crippled by what the game states is ''the common cold.''

In particular Debora has a rude response towards the priest.

* If you chose Nera as your wife and go visit the girl who now serves as her ChildhoodFriend's {{Love Interest|s}} after defeating the giant monster, she will try to flirt with you. Nera, if she is with you, [[ClingyJealousGirl will suddenly act aggressive, telling you to stop looking at her]]. Cue your son asking: "Why are you blushing, dad?"

** It gets better: If you choose one of the original two, you'll be asked twice if you're sure. Choosing Debora is so out of the left field, that even HER FATHER reacts in pure terror. And it's purely hilarious.
