* During the ''Southern Guard'' campaign, when you've first allied with the elves, if you lose one of your units in combat, Ethiliel will summon her elven bodyguards to assist you. Both Deoran and Gerrick will rather justifiably blurt out "You have bodyguards?!" as three random high level elven ranger units will just appear out of the nearest forest tiles.

* During the ''Southern ''Heir to the Throne'' campaign, there's an easter egg in one of the levels, where you need to use a [[FishPeople merman]] to rescue a dwarf who got sucked into a whirpool (in an underground lake, no less). Considering that the only water in that level is that relatively small lake, said merman instantly lampshades the impracticality of fielding them:
-->'''Merman:''' I'm a merman, dweller of the vast oceans! [[LampshadeHanging Do not ask me what I am doing in a cave]]. [[WhatTheHellPlayer My lord can be somewhat eccentric]].

* While the downloadable campaign ''TRADERS - Strange Legacy'' is rather strange in itself, one optional quest takes the cake. You are told that you have to take out a nest of monsters, and this is rated 2 in difficulty. When you get to the specified hex, a new map loads, and you find out that this nest is infested with rabbits. No, not literal {{KillerRabbit}}s, cartoonish rather weak rabbits that make the [[VocalDissonance saurian wheezing sound]] when they die. To make things better, the description tells us that in "its gnawing attack, striking from powerful incisors, resides country farmers' greatest fear", despite the Peasant unit in the game easily being able to kill the rabbit in one turn.
