* On the Guardian outfits:
** The original Guardian outfits of both W.I.T.C.H. and C.H.Y.K.N. are [[CustomUniformOfSexy sexy]] and [[BareYourMidriff show the midriff]], while the outfits of the ancient human generation of Guardians (only shown in a flashback]] are feminine ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanfu hanfu]]''. Both W.I.T.C.H. and C.H.Y.K.N. are American teenagers of the 20th century (late 20th for W.I.T.C.H., mid 20th for C.H.Y.K.N.), they'd want something sexy and somewhat rebellious, while the ancient human generation were Chinese teens or women of thousands of years ago, and dressed as such.
** By the time of the New Power saga the outfits of W.I.T.C.H. changed because ''they'' changed, and thus evolved with them.
** Taranee's New Power outfit is the only one that still shows the midriff. While the others (and especially Will) have outgrown their rebellious phase by the New Power saga, Taranee only does ''during'' the saga, after she got the new outfit (and her hair got crazier).
** Hay Lin's of Chinese descent like the ancient human Guardians, but her outfits resemble the {{Qipao}} while the ancient Guardians wore ''hanfu''. The ''hanfu'' is the traditional Han Chinese wear, and the feminine version was supplanted by the qipao (of Manchu origin) only in the 20th century.
** Yan Lin's Guardian outfit is modeled on the ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tangzhuang tangzhuang]]''-pants outfit, that was originally man wear but has since grown to be worn by both genders. Back in her day, women in China were still relatively kept in traditional roles, so to fight (a traditional man's role) she gets in "men"'s clothes.

** To be honest, though, the ages of the girls are interchangeable. Whoever said that from oldest to youngest is W-C-I-T-H, that's the first time I've heard someone say that. From oldest to youngest in the Comics it's C-W-I-T-H. In the Cartoon, from oldest to youngest it's C-I-T-W-H.

** According to WordOfGod, Nerissa was originally a worthy keeper but something in their last battle weakened her bond with the other Guardians and increased her ambition too much, resulting in the Oracle trying (and failing) to stop her corruption as we know. If the programmed CHYKN spin-off will ever be made, we'll know what exactly happened.

happened, but yes, Nerissa was not destined to be corrupted... And Will, in the fourth arc, showed her heart was indeed stronger than Nerissa's.

* In the comic, Cornelia at first isn't too willing to accept Will's leadership, and made a few attempts at taking over. Before they became the Guardians of Kandrakar, the group's leader was Cornelia herself, and Will was literally the last one arrived (Taranee had arrived at the school the previous day).

** It wasn't that Nerissa was destined per se, but that Keepers of the Heart have to be more careful to not be corrupted by the absolute power that the Heart entails. Nerissa heart wasn't strong enough, Will is.

** Taranee, Irma and Hay Lin match up well with their powers based on personality. Taranee is fairly timid and initially terrified of her power, Fire, which can be the most destructive element in the wrong hands. Irma lets her surroundings shape her but always keeps a core of her true self, much like how water changes shape based on its container but keeps its volume regardless. The energetic and imaginative Hay Lin is able to use her Air/Wind powers to their fullest.

* The ages of W.I.T.C.H. parallels the strength of their element: Will is the oldest and has the most powerful element. Cornelia is the second oldest and thus has the second most powerful element. Vice-versa with Irma, Taranee, and Hay Lin.
