** Pablo, the penguin who wanted to move to the Galápagos, actually would have found company along his journey. ** Donald's canon birthday is June 9th, while this film (and other sources) claim it's "Friday the 13th". If June has a Friday the 13th, June 9th would've been the Monday of the same week. It's not uncommon to put off celebrating your birthday till the end of a week if it falls on a weekday.
* FridgeLogic:
** José admits that he's never been to Bahia, but still knows who Iaia is. They could have gotten away with it if they had him wait a few seconds, but in context of the movie, José is explaining who Iaia is and what she does at the exact same time as she's singing about it.
** His song about Bahia implies he's certainly been there before. José probably meant he hadn't been to Bahia RECENTLY.
** The whole thing could just be interpreted has a joke; José describing Bahia in great detail and singing passionately about it before finally admitting he's never been there before. It's funny in a PraisingShowsYouDontWatch sort of way.
** Could be that he's heard of Iaia and is telling Donald what he's heard. It's implied that she's very well-known.
* FridgeHorror: José refers to his size-changing spell as "black magic". Looking at the three factors on the [[BlackMagic trope page]] makes you wonder if our favorite Brazilian parrot is not as benevolent as he seems.

** When José introduces himself to Donald and hands him his card, Donald appears to have a hard time reading it. That would be because the card is written in ''cursive'', which Americans (like Donald) are not very familiar with.
