* When considering how the creators generally tend to view their work, and with the theme of connectedness, it's not much of a surprise that each of the senseate's also represent a different brand of cinema and film style. For example, Wolfgang's plot being a hard-nosed, In Bruges, euro-crime style piece, while Kala's plot is straight-up Bollywood. Not to mention Will (Police), Lito (Mexican Melodrama), Nomi (LGBT romance), Sun (South Korean action), Cepheus (African Gangster films) and Riley (Her intro is very reminiscent of Channel 4 TV series' like [Skins])

* The full scope of Lito's talent for obfuscation and deception is revealed when you realise he is listening to Steiner making fun of Felix by calling him a cocksucker. It's a testament to Lito's self control that, as a gay man who had previously recounted his experience giving felatio to Nomi as a treasured one, that he can suffer Steiner's hatefulness so starkly.

* Further FURTHERmore, August 8th's zodiac starsign is Leo.

* Sensates will appear when other members of the cluster are in danger. When Lito puts a gun in his mouth, none appear. This seems strange in the moment, but when he pulls the trigger, the gun turns out to be a lighter. Lito knew that he wasn't committing suicide, so his situation didn't summon any of his cluster-mates. Later, Riley's genuine intention to commit suicide by gun calls ''all'' of her cluster-mates.
** It's actually ambiguous as to whether or not Lito pulled the trigger knowing the gun was a fake.
** On contrast, one could assume that the reason no sensates appeared was because Lito had not connected with any of them yet similar to how only Will appeared when Riley was being suffocated (at that time Riley had only connected strongly with Will).

* The cluster is "activated" by Angelica shooting herself in the head. This is echoed in conversation when we first meet several sensates in the cluster:

** Or... It's never explicitly stated that all sensate clusters come in 8. The only confirmed "rule" of being a sensate cluster is sharing a birthday. At the time she was killed, Will and Sara could very well be the same age. It's also never fully explained how a sensate gets activated, but it is explained that Whispers and Jonas can visit sensates outside their cluster after making eye contact with them. Perhaps eye contact with active sensates is exactly how new sensates are activated; Angel makes eye contact with each of them in the pilot. This would also mean that Riley has been an active sensate for most of her life, having met Yrsa as a child. After having been activated by Whispers, Sara would be able to visit Will, assuming she had met him... Except, we are never given any indication that they've ever physically met, so the only way she could visit him is if they were clustermates... My God, what if one of their own was murdered as a child?

* When Riley was going to kill herself, the entire cluster shows up. When Lito did the same, none of them did. There is some evidence that Riley has the best control of her powers, since she was central on every occasion the entire cluster interacted, but there is a simpler explanation. The gun Lito was going to use was really a lighter, and it was his, so he subconsciously knew that he wasn't in any danger.

* Riley gave the contents of Nyx's safe to the blind piano player. It was an incredibly sweet gesture, but: anybody who bothered to look would have seen the money. All it takes is one greedy asshole, and the poor man gets nothing. Borders on FridgeHorror if you consider that a big enough douchebag would hurt or kill him for it, and he wouldn't know why.

** Lito is in the middle of shooting a scene, he flubs his line, instead saying "I've come to blow your fucking brains out" and later commenting in private that he has no idea where that came from. ** Nomi has had sex, she comments to her lover that she had "just fucked my brains out."

* As a show that doesn't hand-hold its audience, there are a number of subtle moments and nuanced bits that might get missed. It could very well be the Wachowski's intention that some fridge brilliance be experienced by the audience; for example, in the pilot, right after the activation of the cluster, Riley is having a conversation with some friends after her set. One of them comments that another has some drugs that will, quote, "blow our fucking brains out". Later on, as Lito is in the middle of shooting a scene, he flubs his line, instead saying "I've come to blow your fucking brains out" and later commenting in private that he has no idea where that came from. Later still, after Nomi has had sex, she comments to her lover that she had "just fucked my brains out." Its not explicitly stated or even overtly implied in any way, but you have to wonder: was the line implanted in Riley's head and repeated later by Lito and Nomi?

* Given that Lito's entire family was too engrossed with the television to pay attention to his birth, especially ''his mother'', it makes perfect sense that he would grow up to become a telenovela actor. It was his way of gaining his family's attention.
