The only reason Shirley doesn't end with the relationship she could have had in canon had she not run into [[{{Yandere}} Rolo]] [[DiabolusExMachina at the worst possible time]] is because he's already together with someone else ([[EarnYourHappyEnding or rather she does, just not right away]]).]]

In other words, the two half-siblings had the same objective for each of their BlackTieInfiltration and were trying to manipulate the other party into helping them with it.]]
