[[note]] In fact, she outright stated she would end Hank with her bare hands.[[/note]] She is interrupted by the sudden arrival of Grandma (with Ashley and Amy). What would have become of Hank if they had arrived a little later?

** Also, if Sally May ''had'' killed Hank, he wouldn't have been able to save the girls from Tuerto.

** The fact that the same book shows she's pretty handy with a shotgun. What happens should Hank get onto her last nerve while she's within reach of it? For that matter, later books have both Loper and Slim reaching their RageBreakingPoint with Hank and lamenting that they don't have a firearm handy at that moment.

* Hank claims that the Coyotes' YouNoTakeCandle way of speaking is its own separate language. It comes out the way it does because Hank is narrating the story, and his own understanding of Coyote is a bit limited, causing him to lose something in the translations.
* In ''Lost in the Blinded Blizzard'', Madame Moonshine calls out her rattlesnake bodyguard Timothy to deal with Rip and Snort. He fails miserably, which makes more sense when one realizes it's the middle of winter. Snakes are sluggish when it's cold; Timothy would have been at a severe disadvantage compared to the warm-blooded coyote brothers.
