It takes place between the Thriller Bark saga and the Sabaody Archipelago arc. The crew run afoul of a pirate from Gold Roger's era who seeks to destroy East Blue. This is the second movie to be dubbed by Funimation, and is currently the only movie considered canon.

* ''Anime/OnePieceFilmGold'' (July 23, 2016): The crew visit a casino themed ship but the owner of it targets them for nefarious purposes. Once again, Oda serves as executive producer, and contributed for the movie. The movie also marks the first time it was released internationally to various countries (albeit limited releases) following its original run, some with the original language and some dubbed over. The United States showcase was be dubbed, thus making this the fourth dubbed One Piece film by Funimation.
