Legendary Female Alear released with a new skill that grants this status, it's called Atk/Spd Pledge. On the one hand, [Special Accel] is very to the point, but on the other, this new Pledge skill DOES also have that effect so that's probably the closest we've got for now. Just name these things IS, please.

** The [Special Accel]* status effect has the user have +1 special buildup per attack during combat. Sources of this status effect include the Dauntless Captain Skill, Fallen Ninian's Call to Flame and Legendary Xander's Ebon Bölverk.

I'm noticing a pattern with all of these Books...

Added DiffLines:

* StrictlyFormula: Every Book in the game follows a basic story structure, but with new characters and a new setting. While there have been some deviations to the formula (such as Surtr being the sole main villain who is male), those are the exception rather than the rule:
** The character that is given out for free is [[ArcHeroine always female]], and is either a princess or a retainer to a BigGood who is royalty in some way, shape or form.
** If there are any male characters in the game, [[spoiler:they ''will'' die sooner or later.]] Additionally, one of them will not be released as playable until 3 years after their respective Book ended.
** Whenever there are siblings, [[spoiler:all but one of those siblings (usually the youngest) are fated to die as well]].
** The villain is always female as well, usually with a [[MsFanservice much more sexy-looking appearance]], and are completely invincible without the help of a MacGuffin needed to revert the invincibility.

Added DiffLines:

* SummonBiggerFish: The point of the game is to summon various heroes to build an army. However, during the "Turn of Fate" Forging Bonds event, regular heroes aren't going to be able to stop [[TimeMaster Gullveig]], so instead the heroes try to summon another version of Gullveig, and hope that she'll help them fight the first Gullveig. [[OutOfTheFryingPan Or maybe she'll turn on them and they'll have two Gullveigs to deal with.]]

moved from Mes A Crowd to Self Duplication, as the former trope has a new definition

Added DiffLines:

* SelfDuplication:
** There's Legion's Grand Hero Battle, wherein the player faces multiple Legions who are all trying to defeat you.
** As a nod to the final battle of ''Fates: Conquest'', two copies of Fallen Takumi have to be taken out during his Grand Hero Battle.
** When Freyja steps onto the scene as a boss during Book IV's story, multiple copies of her are out to hunt down the player's units. There's three copies of her, each with differing skills, and they get replaced by another one should one of them fall.

** At the end of Book VII, Chapter 10, Gullveig arrives and [[spoiler:turns on King Njörðr]]
--->'''Gullveig''': Gullveig: To destroy the world, kill the mortals, and... I am here to end you as well.

* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: Discussed in the 8/18/2020 Forging Bonds event "A New Future". The idea of informing the pre-timeskip ''Three Houses'' protagonists of what transpires over the course of five years is brought up, but Claude nixes it because simply telling them wouldn't change anything and the experiences fighting for Askr might just do the job for them.

Added DiffLines:

** The [Rally Spectrum] status effect grants the user +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat, and grants -X special cooldown before the unit's first attack, where X = 1 if the user has an effect that either allows the unit to attack twice in one round or has -1 maximum special cooldown, or 2 otherwise. The only source of this status effect is with Brave Male Robin's Tip the Scales!.
** The [Assign Decoy] status effect allows the user to trigger [Savior] if the unit and foe share the same attack range and the foe initiates combat on an ally within 2 spaces of the user. The only source of this status effect is with Brave Soren's Arch-Sage Tome.

Added DiffLines:

* TerrainSculpting: The winners of the Choose Your Legend 7 introduces terrain effects that alters tiles to change the tides of battle, and the latest one overrides any previous terrain:
** [Divine Veil (Stone)] allows the user and their allies to gain +6 Def/Res during combat, reduces damage taken from enemy specials by 10, and reduces damage taken from the foe's non-Røkkr AOE specials by 50%.
** [Divine Veil (Flame)] needs +1 movement needed to move into for ranged foes, but cannot bar foes from entering into it if it is adjacent to them and exceeds their movement limit, and inflicts 7 damage to the foe at the start of the foe's turn and before combat begins during combat.

** Despite being the only male character in the "Beachside Brouhaha" Voting Gauntlet in August 2023, Summer Ephraim was able to emerge victorious against all of his contenders despite being at a notable disadvantage between them (except Summer L'Arachel), beating out Summer Ivy in Round 2 and Summer Ymir in the Final Round.
