Sam later whacks him with a metal bar, causing him to lost his balance, and eventually collide with the Pillar's energy beam, electrocuting him to death.]]

* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: [[spoiler: Laserbeak attacks Sam in Dylan's apartment by trying to claw at his face, before pushing him off the balcony (Sam survives by landing on the Decepticon fighter Bumblebee is piloting). However, Laserbeak is shown to possess guns in his robot form, so why didn't he just gun Sam down?]]

* BatmanGambit:
** The Decepticons: [[spoiler:Once the Autobots discovered the existence of the ''Ark'', they would travel there and find Sentinel. Since only Sentinel can control the Space Bridge, the Decepticons would need Optimus to use the Matrix on Sentinel, in order to bring him back to life. Once back, Sentinel would only have to wait until the right moment to betray his friends, and take the pillars back for the Decepticons.]]
** The Autobots: [[spoiler:Sentinel gives the UN an ultimatum: deport the Autobots from American shores -- and Earth as well -- and the Decepticons will leave, too, as soon as they've gathered enough resources to rebuild Cybertron. The UN complies, and the Autobots are sent away on board the ''Xantium''. But Optimus, suspecting it to be a lie, as well as a trap, hides his team in one of the booster rockets that landed in the ocean, while Starscream destroys the ''Xantium''. Optimus later explains to Sam that this was a ploy for the leaders of Earth to realize that the Deceptions will never leave Earth alone, even if the world leaders agree to their plan. He was right: Immediately after the Autobots are presumed dead, the Decepticons, rather than gather resources and leave Earth, attack cities worldwide and subjugate civilians into a slave force to rebuild Cybertron.]]

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Due to the released call sheets, it is highly suggested that Sentinel Prime was originally going to be called Ultra Magnus. Test screening however drove the change and Ultra Magnus' head was reused as what the Apollo 11 astronauts step on and uncover as they explore the ship. * WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer: [[spoiler: When Sam and Epps' team see the devastation the Decepticons have inflicted on Chicago, Epps and the soldiers immediately conclude that there is no way to go in and survive. Sam asks what they're going to do, and Epps admits it's over. When a Decepticon flier comes in for a strafing run, it's downed by a previously presumed dead Optimus Prime, who offers his own idea: "We will kill them all."]]
