* WhatDoesSheSeeInHim?: An example that is gender-inverted, invoked, justified and parodied. Mary is shown to be an nice, attractive woman who looks for the best in everyone if they're willing to give it, so of course she'd be appealing to several different suitors. What makes it a parody and invocation of the trope is that the suitors are ''too numerous'' and ''too invested'' in being a part of Mary's life even when they have ones of their own. It makes the audience ask the question if everything they go through really ''would'' be worth it if they got Mary in the end.
