** A comical example but after constanly being called a "weenie" by everyone, Jughead is literally turned into one by Kabukiman in his last scene.

* GenderRestrictedAbility: While Lotus is more than capable of being a hero and harboring the kabuki spirit (her grandfather ''was'' the previous Kabukiman, afterall), the title is "Kabuki'''''man'''''" and only a man can wield the power. Whether this is how the spirit works or if its sexist tradition isn't really elaborated, but she is ''very'' bitter about it.

* OnPatrolMontage: After Harry masters his ability to transform, he proceeds to go on a crime-fighting spree, ranging from turning pimps, whores and drug-dealers into sushi (which, given this is Troma film, is okay for a police-officer superhero to do), to helping old ladies across the street and becoming New York's #1 superhero in the process

* WouldHurtAChild: The opening scene consist of Rembrandt killing the two toddler children of the original chosen person to become the next Kabukiman.

* ToonPhysics: Kabukiman manages to reinflates himself after getting squashed flat by a truck.

* ArtisticLicenseMedicine: A nurse who's job allows her to increase the dosage of morphine on a patient should know how much morphine it takes to kill someone. If this were RealLife, it is likely she would run it by the doctor first when she noticed the dosage, thus ruining Rembrandt's plan in killing Connie.

* GroinAttack: Several times during Lotus training with Harry, she hits him in the grion.

* StuffedInTheFridge: Connie [=LaRosa=], Harry's previous love interest. [[spoiler: The villains give the hospital a fake chart, tricking a nurse into killing her with an overdose of morphine]].

* PoliticallyIncorrectHero: The premise of the Kabukiman itself is completely centered around a character that embodies every Japanese stereotype you could think of ''and [[{{Yellowface}} the current iteration is a white guy]].'' Considering this is set in the [[WorldOfHam extended Troma Universe]] (and the film was filmed in the late eighties and came out in 1990, so political correctness was not mainstream yet), no one really bats an eye at it.

* Kabukiman himself. He is considered a hero in New York, even when many of his punishments are clearly disproportionate.
