Followed by ''Film/JeepersCreepers2'' in 2003. A third movie, ''Jeepers Creepers 3'' (previously thought to be subtitled ''The Creeper Walks Among Us'' or ''Cathedral'') - and possibly a fourth movie - was announced by MGM, but remained in DevelopmentHell for years. Shooting finally started in 2016, with the film receiving an announced one-night-only release on September 26, 2017. Demand sufficed for a re-showing on October 4, followed by a two-night showing on Syfy for the pre-Halloween weekend.
