* GenreSavvy: Tommy. When he sees Jason's fingers start twitching after he's supposedly been defeated, how does Tommy respond? By completely flipping out and going to town on Jason with a machete until there's no longer any part of him that's moving.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
Has nothing to do with familiarity with in-univeres fiction.

* GenreSavvy: In most of these movies, the protagonist delivers what appears to be a killing blow and drops the given weapon in reach of the NotQuiteDead killer. Here, Tommy (who's read up on Jason) actually holds onto the weapon while hugging Trish. The moment he sees Jason starting to move, he begins his ExtremeMeleeRevenge.

** Tommy's ExtremeMeleeRevenge, as disturbing as it ends up being. Whereas many protagonists simply think the masked killer is finished and focus on catching their breaths, Tommy keeps an eye on Jason's body and viciously attacks the moment he sees his fingers move. Tommy also holds onto his weapon in the run-up to this moment rather than simply dropping it to the floor in easy reach of his attacker.

* PreviouslyOn: Likely due to thinking this would be the final movie in the series. Using the GhostStory scene from the second movie to tie things together, major backstory events and deaths are recapped before showing Chris's final confrontation with Jason. Afterwards, we pick up at the farm with an ambulance crew loading up Jason's body for transport.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The exact fate of Mrs. Jarvis, as the scene of Trish finding her body drowned in the bathtub was cut. When his hand twitches again, Tommy proceeds to chop into him repeatedly to make sure he's dead.
