* KeepItForeign: In the undubbed version, the Swiss bobsledders speak [[GermanDialects standard German (Hochdeutsch)]][[note]]This does not make any sense, as the only situations Swiss people speak standard German are in school, in parliament, on TV news or when speaking to outsiders whom they know not to speak Swiss German. And even then a Swiss tinge is audible. Could be excused if it were non-German speaking Swiss as they only learn Standard German in school (and no dialect) but why would they be speaking German in the first place?[[/note]]. In the German-dubbed version, the Swiss have a strong [[GermanDialects Swiss accent]], as does the Jamaicans imitating them.

* RealityIsUnrealistic: Not only is Jamaica not the first tropical country to compete in the Winter Olympics (that would be Mexico way back in 1928), but the idea of Jamaicans in Canada is not as far-fetched as the movie implies. Canada has a very large Jamaican population, to the point that one in three Black Canadians are of Jamaican descent. Canada never having as many black slaves as the US and both Jamaica and Canada being British possessions for a long time (and still Commonwealth members) helps.
