However when he returns to Beacon Hills looking for revenge, he meets Scott and wonders if maybe there is another way.

* Synopsis: After Boyd dies in Currents he wakes up the spirt world and rejoins Erica and, eventually, the rest of his family. Meanwhile his Grandmother and Derek have to work together keep things together in the real world. It's very slow build and is definitely Cannon Divergent.

* ''Synopsis'': Cora knows a magical ritual that will show the packs visions that they can use to defeat Deucalion, but one of the side effects is time travel. Of course Stiles ends up ten years in the past where he meets a younger and more lovable Derek and tries not to change the future.

* ''Comments'': Features Stiles playing detective and a mostly alive Hale family.

* ''Synopsis'': All of the big time superheroes like Superman and Captain America make everything look so easy. They manage to have regular jobs, save their cities and have time to maintain stable relationships. Derek wishes his life was that simple. He saves his city and works a regular job but he's pretty sure that Iron Man never hit on Batman, so why does Red Spark keep hitting on him? Or, the one where Derek and Stiles are both secret superheroes, but are too oblivious to realize that they're in love. Meanwhile there's a power draining supervillain on the loose.

Please note though that the Sterek is developing in this story and doesn't come to fruition until a later story in the series.

The world building is extremely good, revealing details without relying on exposition, and the characters remain true to their portrayals in the show while also fitting in with the world of the story (even the OCs -mainly the now not-dead Hales - are well written and fleshed out). The relationships develop naturally, the conflict is well-written, and there is a wonderful balance between the intense supernatural danger and the cute, more mundane (but not less interesting) day-to-day lives of the characters.

* Comments: One of my favourite TW fics. While the fic is Stiles-centric, Scott is written wonderfully as opposed to the great majority of fics in this fandom, and their friendship is incredibly sweet and well portrayed. The storyline is stunning, and the mythology is extremely well fleshed out. One of a small majority of fanfics that have made me cry, it's that good. It's just over 50k words, and reads like a small novel. Honestly, please just read it.
