I could go on for hours about how wonderful this story is, how interesting the plot is, how vivid the pictures it paints are, how each chapter has me on the edge of my seat... it's just awesome. We see a man who wishes to elaborate the wonder of God's world through knowledge, a peaceful sort of man who wants to have people understand one another rather than wallow in ignorance. I find the references (which were altered from a medical text book to fit the story) placed througout the story to be interesting because they relate to the thoughts of this character in some way. Definately a good read if you're a fan of Scar (or, though not very likely, his brother).

***Normally I hate stories that focus on Roy and Riza growing up together, but this is quite possibly the best thing I have ever read. I can't recommend it enough. The only thing I have to say, though, is make sure you haven't got anything important going on before starting to read. It's a longfic, at eighty chapters long, and if you enjoy it as much as I did you will find yourself incapable of doing anything else until it's finished.
