* ''Comments'': If you can read Spanish, and enjoy Card captor Sakura, reading this fan fic is a must, everyone is in character and the story keeps you hooked over the 15 chapters. The author also wrote a sequel, and is in the process of writing a second, both having multiple crossovers with series from CLAMP among others.(It's really good, most people who've read it accept it as a valid continuation of the story.)

** This fanfiction has been in DevelopmentHell for something around the past 18 months. (Allegations have begun spreading that I'm trying to out-DevelopmentHell [[DukeNukem Duke Nukem Forever]].) Stuff like this happens when a busy author has to deal with RealLife. The final two chapters have been receiving nickel-and-dime updates the entire time, but have not been posted.
** This fanfiction takes place between Season 2 and Season 3. Thus, a lot of {{Late Arrival Spoiler}}s crop up. This ''will'' result in either LaserGuidedAmnesia or "We Don't Talk About That" for the vast majority of the relevant cast. The questions are merely (1) who gets what and (2) how do they get out of this giant mess?
** Though it does focus on the inevitable Sakura / Syaoran shipping, the larger focus is on the individual characters and their inner traumas, as well as an actual plot.
** Chaos Card Captor Sakura is technically the prelude to an Alternate Universe Mega Crossover. The other universes just haven't been incorporated yet, so I leave this fanfic in the general CCS area.
** Voidwalker: Despite toeing the line of being a {{DeadFic}}, this story manages to respectably present a considerably dark tone in contrast with the Canon universe. The author gets bonus points for coming up with cool and original concepts for the Kaos Cards. That said, the {{AlternateUniverse}} {{MegaCrossover}} may not be many people's cup of tea (especially considering its status as an [[UnpublishedWorks unpublished]] [[VaporWare work]]).

* Comments: This fanfic has got to be the longest running Cardcaptor Sakura fanfic ever, spanning over 50 chapters, in over 5 years. The story starts out like any other CCS fanfic, but then [[GrowingTheBeard Grows the Beard]] around the second arc. With its different twists and turns the series, will guarantee to keep fellow tropers interested.
** This fic is most definitely [[BetterThanitSounds better than it sounds]]. It [[OverlyLongName may not have the best title]], and the first arc may not be the best written, but it improves by leaps and bounds later on. A high point is its characterization, where the authoress adds several [[OriginalCharacter OC's]] to the cast, but has made them likeable and seamlessly incorporated them into the story. An excellent read (and very, very long--but in a good way).

* ''Comments'': There aren't many prequel fics about Clow Reed, and of those, this is one of the awesome ones. Family antics and drama, sibling rivalry, and an exploration of Clow, still quite unsure of himself, working out how to deal with the English countryside he's never seen before. There are a handful of issues with copy-editing but the prose is clear and, on the whole, rich and detailed. I admire the writer's research into the astrological underpinnings of the setting. Where this really shines, though, are the characters, who are written with depth, sympathy, and antic humour. Cerberus romancing the pancakes. Cerberus's friends Mr Rake and Miss Leafbag. Cerberus Running Away From Home And Not Coming Back Ever. (Yes, Cerberus is definitely a main character in this one.) There are hints of a developing Clow/Yue relationship that is, considering no-one has done anything but try to banish improper thoughts, still pretty creepy, and I suspect it will become a major conflict/challenge of the story. As of this recommendation there are thirteen longish chapters with several completed story arcs. Updates are a bit slow, alas. I look forward to more.

* ''Comments'': A lot darker than the source material, typical Lord Archive stuff, so if you want your protagonists prematurely aged by the hardships they've undertaken, and fighting against a mysterious enemy that they don't actually know anything about who is far more vicious than any previously faced, this is your story.

** This should be fun for everyone who knows the material and even though it is a partial {{SelfInsertFic}} it only comes in the last few chapters. The story is basically about Meilin becoming like Sakura in the original series. Eriol finds, in the present, a book similar to the orignal Clow Book in which Clow sealed his mistakes. The book can only be opened by someone who is "really stupid, and annoying! And . . . Chinese!". Meilin says the breaking enchatment and encounters the Guardian Beast of the Whoops: Keroberos-ette, a female version of Keroberos. There is also a female version of Yue, Yue-bella, and her "snow bunny" false form, Tsukishiro Yukito-bella. It continues throughout the standard Card Captor storyline and includes [[spoiler: an alternate Syoran and Meilin, a musical counterpart to the Song card, the Magic Girl card; which replaces Tomoyo's costuming kick with magic-boosting costumes similar to Tomoyo's style of costume (it even replicates Yue's outfit in one chapter! Wings and everything!), Sakura becoming Meiling's filmer]] and more. This should be a very fun read for fans of the show.

* ''Comments'': I don't even like romance and this still brought me to tears. The story works as well as it does mainly because of it's strong characterization and the romance between the leads feels genuine. My only real complaint is the very end [[spoiler: is a cop out]], but it's not nearly enough to worry about.
** sammywhatammy: Can I say how sucked in I was by this fic? I'll be honest, I read fic VERY rarely. But once I started this one, it was very hard to stop. Though I inwardly winced that the author [[spoiler: supports the Eriol/Tomoyo pairing]], that's just my own personal gripe that doesn't reflect on the fic at all. I think it was very well thought out. The characters are well developed as well and the story goes at a good pace. And basically it made me want to reread the original canon because D'AAAAW SO CUTE. Definitely seconding this rec!

* ''Comments'': Slightly [[AlternateUniverseFic AU]] due to changing some small details (example: Sakura's father NOT being the other half of Clow Reed), most of the AU side is on Harry Potter's end, it's a little sad sometimes but there are humorous moments and a little hint of romance but mostly it's just an interesting read with some mystery and some wicked cool fight scenes (though that's in later chapters), the story isn't complete yet and the author hasn't updated in a while but the chapters are very long, overall it has good characterization and some really great plot twists as well as finding a way to meld the two series together, there's a few [[OriginalCharacter OCs]] but they exist to help the story along and don't distract from the main characters

* ''Comments'': A definite AU if nothing else, Wildflower is essentially taking the main cast and parts of the story of ''{{Card Captor Sakura}}'', and transplanting them to the setting of ''{{Firefly}}'', with some minor pieces taken from ''{{The X-Files}}'', and ''{{Star Wars}}'' (specifically, the rustbucket nature of the ship is more based on the Millenium Falcon than it is Serenity, which is ''heavily'' ironic, considering that {{Joss Whedon}} himself has stated that the Millenium Falcon was the main inspiration for the ship, and in some ways the nature of, Serenity and Firefly); and one major setting piece inspired by ''{{X-men}}''. In all honesty, I found this one the best pieces of reading early on when I was first getting into fanfiction as a whole, and it is still one of my absolute favorites of all time. I've read it numerous times, each with a bit more of the setting knowledge under my belt, and each time I've found it to have new and even more interesting meaning. It is worth noting that Peacewish can be a bit heavy handed with her political leanings and views, but unless you read the Author's Notes than you probably won't even notice the political messages behind anything. Anything, that is, save for her OC Eric. This troper had no problem with him, he's not what I would call a {{Mary Sue}}, and he's not a self-insert either, but he does explicitly share Peacewish's political views, and as such when he talks about them they're often given extra weight and presented as '''right'''. Still, none of it is too out there or in your face, so it's not too bad. The fic itself and the story however, is very fun, though it does rely on one major coincidence at one point, it otherwise flows well enough and is nicely in character, provided you take into account that everyone is 4 or so years older than in CCS and the changes wrought by the setting.
