* DivineRightOfKings: Justified. Any Uchiha who manages to Awaked their Mangekyou does it by Invoking and Connecting with the patron kami of their lineage. Therefore, they are elevated to the headship of their lineage due to the obvious sign of favour.

* AMatchMadeInStockholm: What Izuna and Tobirama's arrangement is. She showers him with gifts and attention to keep him compliant and because she doesn't want to completely destroy his mind through isolation, and he goes along with it as he reasons it keeps her focused on him rather than his clan's destruction and he's a bit desperate for social interaction.
* MovingTheGoalposts: Tajima does it in regards to informing the daimyo of Izuna's marriage - first by demanding they wait for the Senju's reaction, then for Izuna getting pregnant, [[spoiler: and ''then'' to make sure she's still pregnant after two months]].

** The Uchiha use their sharingan for embroidery and weaving, and have jutsu to preserve colours from fading. The last one also doubles as MundaneMadeAwesome since some of the shades are ridiculously expensive to dye.

** Combined with MundaneSolution but [[spoiler:when Izuna needs to arrange meeting with the Senju, she sends Taka to do it. The woman in question uses her Mangekyou, which calls on kami's power, to stroll into the Compound and up to Touka, while letting [[NoSell her power]] protect her.]]

** Tobirama wonder if something is wrong with Maru due to the boy's behaviour. In reality, Maru is behaving in cat-like manner due to being raised by the summons -- what makes it funnier is that ''Tobirama'' shares many of those same mannerism. [[spoiler:Becomes HarsherInHindsight when Touka notes Butsuma tried to have Tobirama killed over such behaviour as a ''toddler''.]]

** [[spoiler:Following the assassination attempt, Tobirama completely losses all the respect and affection he ever had for his father, since the man obviously didn't love him if he was ready to murder him without even hearing his side of the story.]]

*** [[spoiler:On that note, Mito decides to leave for Uzushio to save her unborn child from daimyo's revenge since Hashirama refused to depose his father.]]
** A sudden halt of the hostilities between Senju and Uchiha has been noticed by people around, so Tajima sending a letter to the daimyo was more of an explanation than anything.

* AlternateUniverse: [[WordOfGod Word of God]] has that her ''Naruto'' universe lacks the Otstustuki Clan being a race of [[HumanoidAliens Humanoid Aliens]], Indra and Asura reincarnating, chakra only appearing with Kaguya, and Zetsu existing. Instead, Kaguya was a normal human (if the wife of an Emperor) born in an era where chakra was a topic of esoteric study who ate from the chakra tree and whose accidental release of the Juubi helped cause the end of her dynasty and Zetsu existing, instead, Kaguya was a concubine of the emperor of the penultimate dynasty of the Empire who through her actions ended up causing the downfall of said dynasty (it is yet unknown if the God Tree existed, if she was the first human to use chakra, or if the downfall of the dynasty involved the Ten Tails wreaking havoc on the land)

* RealityEnsues:
** No matter how much she's nice about it, Izuna still kidnapped and blackmailed Tobirama into marrying her. He's not okay with that and plots to escape at the first opportunity.
** On the Uchiha's side, the clan acknowledges that an abduction is generally not a basis of a good marriage, which is one of the reason they allow only male concubines -- if he escapes, then at least he will not take an Uchiha child with them.
** Several Uchiha are rather displeased by one of them deciding to marry one of their hated foes instead of slitting his throat, in spite of her rational explanations. Generational hatred doesn't vanish in one day.
*** Several Senju warriors also feel pissed off and disgusted by one of them going "traitor" and literally jumping in bed with the enemy.
** The difference in social status between the Uchiha and the Senju means that a peace on equal terms is impossible. Either the Senju become VoluntaryVassal to the Uchiha or the feud continues until one clan manages to completely subjugate the other.
** Repeated trauma over the loss of his siblings and various kinsmen left Hashirama with a heaping mount of PTSD.
** Tobirama gradually warms up to Izuna not only because she's nice, she's also his main source of stimulation. He's painfully aware that without Touka, he already would have completely fallen under her spell.
** Similarly, Izuna becomes fond of Tobirama [[spoiler:and falls in love with him]] despite repeated warnings by her father that it's unwise to trust a prisoner.
** [[spoiler:In order to ensure conception, Izuna drank a lot of fertility teas and spend as much time as possible with Tobirama since his strong ''yang'' chakra facilitates ovulation. Her medic gives her a likely prognosis of fraternal twins as a consequence.]]
** After being locked up for the better part of two months, Tobirama is allowed to go out on a walk with Izuna -- and quickly feels a tad overwhelmed and overstimulated by all the noise and people around in the compound.
** Touka is weirded out when lying down on a bed since she just spent two months sleeping on a futon. On the same note, Tobirama quickly gets into the habit of wearing kimono and is mentioned to do it more easily after a while.
** [[spoiler:Following the assassination attempt, Tobirama completely losses all the respect and affection he ever had for his father, since the man obviously didn't love him if he was ready to murder him without even hearing his side of the story.]]
** [[spoiler:Once it becomes clear that Butsuma's hatred puts the entire clan at risk, he's unceremoniously murdered in his house and ''his own brother'' helps to cover for the real perpetrator.]]
*** [[spoiler:On that note, Mito decides to leave for Uzushio to save her unborn child from daimyo's revenge since Hashirama refused to depose his father.]]
** A sudden halt of the hostilities between Senju and Uchiha has been noticed by people around, so Tajima sending a letter to the daimyo was more of an explanation than anything.
** Because the Uchiha are disgusted by necromancy, ''Literature/MoDaoZuShi'' is an utter flop in-clan since they find the main character too repellent and disapprove him not being immediately murdered for his practices, even though it's a several hundred years old classic for the Elemental Nations.
** [[spoiler:In the immediate aftermath of the assassination attempt, Tobirama rapidly goes into shock and had to be taken care of by Izuna. He also notes that he no longer feels safe when sleeping alone in a room, especially if he also has Kiso with him.]]

* FairyTaleMotifs: The more the story unfolds, the more it appears Tobirama was stuck in CinderellaCircumstances -- after losing his only loving parent, he had to shoulder burdens far too heavy for him and never was truly appreciated for himself (even the more well-intentioned of his relatives just couldn't see anything wrong with his general treatment). Then he gains the attention and affection of a wealthy, highborn spouse who promptly takes him away from the toxic environment and showers him with care and gifts.

** Izuna gifted Tobirama a fan with a scene from Literature/{{Dracula}}. Apparently, the story was popular enough with civilians to be made into a well-known play.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Madara enjoys fried tofu, Izuna has such fondness for red bean paste-filled sweets that Tajima punished her with six months without once, and Tobirama muses a good point of his captivity is getting to eat fish.

* ADayInTheLimelight: Every fifth chapter is not from Tobirama's perspective and usually involves something that he didn't witness during the previous four chapters. For now, we've had povs of Izuna, Madara, Hashirama, Touka, Senju Touma and Senju Tokonoma.

** [[spoiler: Hashirama completely missed the point of Butsuma inviting ''asassination specialists'' to the meeting about Tobirama's current situation.]]

** A condition to fully harness the Mangekyo without suffering backlash is to re-enact an episode of the summoned ''kami'''s life. [[spoiler:Izuna entirely unlocks Susano-o when she rescues her concubine Tobirama from Senju assassins, just like the storm ''kami'' protected his beloved Kushinada-hime from the great serpent bent on devouring her.]]
