* AlwaysABiggerFish: [=MagnaAngemon=]'s [[HellGate Gate of Destiny]] leads to a dimension full of banished enemies and {{Eldritch Abomination}}s. Whenever he uses the technique, he never allows it to stay open for very long for fear that they may escape. [[spoiler: One of these creatures helps to destroy a pursuing Diaboromon copy while fighting in this dimension.]]

VaguenessIsComing: During chapter 42 Tai remembers this line.

** During chapter 42 ''something'' eats the Diaboromon attacking MagnaAngemon and Matt/MetalGarurumon, they are inside MagnaAngemon's Gate of Destiny and whats inside is implied to be a ''bigger monster'' than anything in the story so far.

** Implying Tai can'y save anyone, helps if they use Daemon's ' the strong live, the weak die' Ideology. Interestingly Tai can self-inflict this as shown in chapter 42, he also ''bloody loses it'' and is said to be melting and will attack anything friend or foe.

* OlderIsBetter: Tai, Myotismon, and [[spoiler: Machinedramon]] are all survivors from the V-Tamer era from two-thousand years ago and their tactics, strategies, and weapons are far more dangerous and effective than Adventure era methods.

** [[spoiler:Apocalymon absorbed the data of most of the inhabitants of the Digital World whom had given in to despair. Destroying Zeromaru's V-pet causes him to absorb the data of [[{{Determinator}} Zero]], whose very presence causes Apocalymon to freeze up.]]

* AFatherToHisMen: Though never explicitly shown, it is stated that Metal Seadramon was like this to his army. The actions of Pukumon and the rest of his forces support this, as well as their continued loyalty to Metal Seadramon's cause even after his death.

* MotiveRant: [[spoiler:[=Malo]]Myotismon=] gives one to Tai when he [[spoiler:becomes one of the first of the Digi-Destined to break out of his Illusion Mist attack]].

* OneWingedAngel: Using the Prophecy, Myotismon Digivolves himself into [[spoiler:[[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 [=MaloMyotismon=]]], rather than [=VenomMyotismon=] as in canon]].

* DramaticIrony: As one reviewer points out, after Tai fought so hard to beat some sense into Neo, causing him to at last feel shame and regret for his actions, particularly his betrayal of Metal Greymon, [[spoiler:his partner ends up following in his footsteps]].

** He has another, less noticeable one, minutes later when Metal Garurumon, [[spoiler:Phoenixmon, and Hercules Kabuterimon X]] perform a BigDamnHeroes to back Tai up when he's running low on energy, surviving despite Machinedramon's attempts to attack them using their emotions. The Dark Master [[EvilCannotComprehendGood is so stunned at this]], he doesn't even attempt to fight back when they're firing their final attacks.
