* FixFic: The author uses this story to fix some of the problems they had with the post-NJO EU. Vergere is revealed to have NOT been a Sith but someone who while somewhat misguided meant well (She admits that while she MET Lumiya she ultimately wrote her off as a sad individual blinded by her own pain). Jacen Solo is able to successfully redeem himself before dying a final time, while Luke Skywalker mellows out and realizes that he became overly harsh in the years since the Dark Nest Crisis and Legacy of the Force.

A fan novelization of the cancelled ''Sword Of the Jedi'' trilogy written by Creator/HandOfThrawn45, based on the cancelled trilogy which was supposed to be written by Christie Golden before the Franchise/StarWarsLegends continuity was cancelled following the Disney purchase. As Jaina Solo and her husband Jagged journey to an old friend's wedding, Luke Skywalker sends his son Ben and Tahiri Veila on a secret mission to his homeworld of Tatooine. In the Unknown Regions, two mysterious fleets are clashing, and the new Wraith Squadron is sent to investigate. What they find will threaten to restart the worst war in galactic history.

The Trilogy spans three books, [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12956484/1/Star-Wars-Sword-of-the-Jedi-I-Remembrance Remembrance]], [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12957469/1/Star-Wars-Sword-of-the-Jedi-II-Revenge Revenge]], and [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12957591/1/Star-Wars-Sword-of-the-Jedi-III-Redemption Redemption]]. * TraumaCongaLine: Krayt is heavily implied to have undergone an even more brutal one than the Claws of the Dragon arc implied.
----
!! The Jedi of the Future Trilogy provides examples of the following tropes, which may include unmarked spoilers.

* AristocratsAreEvil: The Senex Juvex Lords are one example, and the Hapan nobles (especially Serissa) are the other prominent example.
* BadGuysDoTheDirtyWork: Darth Xoran and Darth Saydel are the ones who break the Senex Juvex Lords and Hapan Aristocracy, which ultimately end up paving the way for more egalitarian governments even if that wasn't what either one of them intended.
* BigGood: Allana Djo.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Darth Kroan was the CEO of Kuat Drive Yards before he joined the Sith.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Darth Avanc is in many ways a typical Sith; cruel, vicious, manipulative and elitist. However, even he realizes that Abeloth is too dangerous to use, and so actually intends to deal with the Jedi in good faith until she's gone.
* FaceHeelTurn: Wharn falls to the dark side and becomes Darth Terrid.
* TheFriendNoOneLikes: While Saydel is viewed as a valuable member of the Sith due to providing them a home and staying loyal, very few of the Sith leadership actually LIKE her on a personal level, both because she wasn't born into the Sith AND because she's incredibly arrogant.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: Serissa Lohr aka Darth Saydel gains the throne of Hapes.....and then proceeds to initiate an 8 year long reign of terror that utterly decimates the aristocracy.
* HiddenDepths: Serissa Lohr comes across as just another arrogant scheming noble. While that isn't entirely wrong she DOES have a genuine vision for Hapan society and she ultimately chooses loyalty to Krayt over her teacher.
* HotForStudent: Darth Terrid is Serissa Lohr's teacher....and lover.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: Saydel's purge of the Hapan aristocracy is ridiculously cruel.....and yet the people on the receiving end are corrupt aristocrats who cheerfully involved themselves in selfish power games.
* LonelyAtTheTop: Demia Lohr (the Sith pawn who rules Hapes before Serissa kills her) counts. She bitterly realizes that while she wanted power she didn't realize it involved responsibility (or that it would make her own daughter and granddaughter plot to kill her.)
* OlderHeroVsYoungerVillain: The final confrontation of the trilogy involves Allana (who's in her mid 60s) against Darth Saydel (who's 26).
* PayEvilUntoEvil: Xoran's treatment of the Senex-Juvex Lords is this given that they enslaved her as a child, as well as countless others.
* PragmaticVillainy: Darth Avanc fully intends to deal with the Jedi in good faith simply because he knows that Abeloth is THAT dangerous. Too bad Wharn had other ideas.
* SmugSnake: Serissa is a downplayed example. She's by no means stupid, but she's also INCREDIBLY full of herself and her first gambit to make contact with the Sith very nearly gets her killed (if it weren't for her having the force they WOULD have handed her over to her grandmother for execution rather than faking her death.)
* TeensAreMonsters: Serissa Lohr is 17 years old when she attempts to assassinate her own grandmother; after the Sith recruit her she becomes MUCH worse very quickly.
* VillainHasAPoint: Darth Xoran is entirely right when she says that the Senex Juvex Lords were brutal autocrats who needed to go. Saydel meanwhile also sees the Hapan aristocracy as selfish children who keep Hapes stagnant while being too cowardly to act on their ambitions.
* VisionaryVillain: While Saydel is very much an egotistical BlueBlood, she DOES genuinely want to change Hapan society into something less stagnant, and is openly disdainful of her fellow aristocrats for being shallow petty creatures unwilling to act on their ambitions. She also (surprisingly) chooses to stay loyal to Darth Krayt rather than betray him for her own ambitions. Darth Xoran is another example, in that she wants to take down the Senex Juvex Lords who ruthlessly enslaved her and her family.

----
!! The Twilight of the Jedi Duology provides examples of the following tropes.

* ArcWelding: In addition to including the invasion of Naboo from the Battlefront II game as the climax, A'Sharad Hett's StartOfDarkness is also worked into the story.
* CharacterDevelopment: A major element of the story is A'Sharad Hett becoming more and more brutal as the horrors of the Dark Times effects him
* CombatPragmatism: Scout defeats Jerec (a Dark Jedi Master) by kneeing him in the crotch when he drags her close to gloat.
* DeathByAdaptation: Ahsoka Tano is listed by Scout as one of the Jedi who died in the purge.
* DespairEventHorizon: A'Sharad crosses it both when Jereveth dies and when he learns that Vader is Anakin.
* DramaticIrony: When Sola is giving A'Sharad and Jax a tour of Naboo she's unaware both that Anakin is Vader and that Padme's children survived. A'Sharad and Jax are well aware of both thanks to A'Sharad's vision.
* DueToTheDead: Octavian Grant salutes Syne's exploding ship as a sign of respect (which is notable given what a snob Grant is).
* GroinAttack: How Scout defeats Jerec.
* HeelFaceMole: Hanna Ding is an odd case in that she really HAD considered betraying Vader and joining the heroes for real....but ultimately decides that Vader is the safer option.
* LadyOfWar: Jereveth Syne, A'Sharad Hett's lover and the leader of the Bavinyari resistance.
* ProtagonistJourneyToVillain: The Dark Times Duology lays the major seeds for A'Sharad Hett's fall to the dark side. To sum up, he looses the Jedi, finds a new home with the Bavinyari resistance, looses THAT home to Octavian Grant, finds out that Anakin became Vader, sees the Jedi on Naboo wiped out due to them showing mercy to Hanna Ding, and gets beaten by Darth Vader. By the end of the story he's well on the way to fallin.
* Retcon: In this version A'Sharad learns that Anakin is Vader before his encounter with Obi-Wan. He also has a child with Jereveth Syne.
* TraumaCongaLine: A'Sharad Hett's torment during the Dark Times is made even worse here. He falls in love with the guerrilla leader Jereveth Syne and even has a daughter with her, sees Jereveth's ship explode while being powerless to stop it (his daughter lives but he doesn't know that), then he learns that Anakin is Vader before seeing Hanna Ding's betrayal lead to the death of most of the Jedi on Naboo....and this is BEFORE Obi Wan cuts his arm off.
* UnderestimatingBadAssery: Jerec underestimates just how dangerous Scout is due to her lack of force sensitivity. As such he lowers his guard enough for Scout to incapacitate him by kneeing him in the crotch and shattering his knee.
* WorthyOpponent: Octavian Grant views Jereveth Syne as one.

----
!!!! Hand of Judgement, The Last Grand Admiral, Attrition and Destinies provide examples of the following tropes.

* ArcWelding: Hand of Judgement works the events of Dark Forces II into the Rogue Squadron storyline via Thrawn and Makati's attempt to get the Vengeance.
* BadBoss: Jerec's response to Thrawn's request to make sure no one knows he was there? Break the neck of every stormtrooper present using the force. Dagen Niriz is seriously tempted to kill Jerec when he sees that.
* BittersweetEnding: Hand of Judgement. On one hand, the heroes succeed in assassinating Grand Admiral Makati, Isard looses her new Super Star Destroyer, and Grant flees to the Pentastar Alignment, leaving Isard in an overall weaker state. However, Soontir Fel joins the Empire of the Hand, Wedge fails to reunite with his sister, Avan Beruss gets his legs blown off and Rogue Squadron is temporarily disbanded.
* BreakTheHaughty: Grant is utterly flabbergasted when it's revealed that Thrawn and Makati were working together behind his back. Thrawn has a lesser example in that while he did account for Jerec's raw power, he underestimated just how vindictive he was, with only Dagen Niriz violating his orders allowing him to live.
* BodyguardBetrayal: Makati is killed when the Rebel Assassins reprogram his droid F-4GR to kill him.
* BusCrash: Jerec is killed by Kyle Katarn offscreen. Justified in that Dark Forces II is a story in and of itself.
* CallForward: Thrawn's encounter with Jerec (wherein Jerec badly injures him with Force Lighting after Thrawn underestimates just HOW much of a vindictive asshole he is) is what prompts Thrawn to look into countermeasures for dealing with Force Users.
* DramaticIrony: Makati blames the Jedi both for destroying Cartao and starting the Clone Wars. Both of those were actually the fault of Sidious, meaning that Makati is devoting himself to the same guy who caused him misery.
* EvilVirtues: For Thrawn and Makati it's loyalty.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: While he certainly wasn't PLANNING on dying, when it does happen Grant accepts it with a hearty laugh.
* FireForgedFriends: An unusual variation. Thrawn and Makati become friendlier after they work together to retrieve the Vengeance.
* KnowWhenToFoldThem: When Dagen Niriz's IndyPloy leaves Jerec injured and unable to dodge the Tie Phantom that's landed in his hanger, he yields control of the Noghri to Thrawn so that he can reorganize, claim the Valley of the Jedi and THEN get his revenge.
* TheLastDance: Grant ends up dying in the Last Grand Admiral after taking command of the defense forces around Rathelay and leading them to victory.
* OddFriendship: Thrawn and Makati end up developing one.
* NervesOfSteel: Thrawn maintains his composure even when he's literally coughing up blood due to Jerec's force lightning.
* PetTheDog: Makati is genuinely nice to F-4GR. He also overcomes his prejudice somewhat and actually manages to befriend Thrawn after years of being distant.
* PragmaticVillainy: Jerec might be a petty tyrant but he's smart enough to know when to back down.
* WorthyOpponent: It's revealed that even 40+ years later Grant STILL considers Jereveth Syne the most worthy adversary he's ever fought.
