The plan tanks because she not only spiked Eda's apple blood and Lilith's tea (drinks Luz wouldn't have), but she didn't understand how the rejuvenation potion even works. Eda and Lilith, being potionists, add a fail-safe ingredient to the potion so if Luz drank it, she'd regurgitate it.
